The lord allowed me to isolate myself for a year after i graduated from HS. He gave me a choice on what I did with my free time. And I chose to read the Bible for that year, I took away social media, didn’t have any friends. It was my family, Jesus and I. It got lonely so I started to pray for chickens to keep me busy bc I didn’t have a job. I would read my Bible in front of my chickens. I had learned a lot, the lord gave me so much knowledge that I didn’t even know was possible to have, all bc I was determined to know more about God and to try my best to obey his word.

hello! I've struggled with the same thing as well. I was too focused on gaining friends and pleasing people around me. I thought I would be fully satisfied with fitting in the world and thinking that I do belong. When I started seeking for God instead of the worldly things and temporary pleasures, I realized that we truly do not belong in the world because we belong to Jesus. And Jesus-our Lord and Saviour, is the only one that can give the satisfaction of our soul. Since then, I didn't care anymore about the perceptions of others around me and I started desiring for a Christ-centered relationship instead of dealing with a worldly kind of friendship. ❤

My pastor preached on this last night. Isaiah 59:14-21 (19) when the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him. Folks there is a standard when we're following the Lord, seek his righteousness, blessed are those who hunger and thirst for it. I remember when I was new I wanted to put it all in a Formula and still do what I wanted, I watched to many "christian videos" about the bible and not enough seeking in the scripture. Asking if yall would pls pray for me. I’m going thru such a fearful season, (which I believe this is spiritual warfare)I know this isn’t God and he’ll never do such things to me. I know this is the attack of the enemy, I haven’t felt normal since Monday this week, I’ve been trying to hear the voice of God and to be still in His presence, but a deep fear in my heart just struck me! It’s really difficult being a teenage Christian, especially in these times. I feel pressured to fit in to society’s standards everyday and I admit it really messes up my progress in my faith. In 2020, I was naive and due to social media I started to believe in things that were contrary to Gods word. I thought that I was bisexual and that it was okay to feel this way, but I cried myself to sleep every night knowing it was wrong. Even now, it’s been 2 years since I gave that up, but I still can’t get these thoughts out of my head completely. I’m aware it’s wrong, but every once in a while it just hits me again and no matter how much I push it away it never leaves. It makes me so upset knowing that social media ruined my mind at such a young age, and it gave me anxiety and depression as a result. I really needed this video. I know that as long as I continue learning and studying the word of God, I’ll be stronger than ever before.

I used to be like this. But at one point I turned to God and I realized the way I had been was wrong. Being LGBTQ+ is a sin. But, instead of letting guilt take over you, change your ways and turn to God and repent. I’m glad you address the title issue ever since I’ve dived deeper into my religion so many videos have popped up with titles like “you’re going to hell if you don’t click this video” or “you don’t love god if you don’t click this video” and I hate those titles so much because to me it feels like people like that are using gods names for a paycheck and most of those videos are an ai deep voice that’s reading a script and every video has the same script I’ve started skipping and stopped watching those videos all together because it’s scummy the only videos I do watch are the ones that have a title like this video

Thank you for this; it truly hit home. I recently went through another growth period with God, and it has been about a year of me growing my faith and reading the Bible daily. I have also recently deleted the last of my social media accounts. I found myself seeing inappropriate things and not fully registering the effect it had on my wife-to-be. It's tough because, as you mentioned, no one else in my friend group does this. Talking about it can be challenging, knowing how they might respond and perceive it. It's the same battle as refusing to go to a strip club for a friend's bachelor party. My wife and God come first, and if I have to lose what I used to think were friends over it, so be it. This journey of faith and commitment is about prioritizing what truly matters, even if it means standing alone. The strength and peace I find in my relationship with God and my future wife far outweigh the acceptance of those who might not understand.

There's so much truth in what you said about filtering out the noise and feeding your brain with good things, it really does effect your mindset, your lifestyle and helps to motivate your purpose. Lust... Anger.. Pride... and so on... i had in my life... even when i was saved... i dont want to sin and i beg God to forgive me for sins i have made when i was saved by him and since then... i keep begging and asking him to forgive me for the sins... im scared that i will be one of those who Lord Jesus Christ says "Depart from me" while i should have keep my cloack clean... while I dont! i sinned okay? and im begging God to forgive every day for all sins i have made everyday... its just... am i the Lukewarm one or something else that God hate?

Thanks for keeping it real The part regarding violence in media, I thank you for being open and saying that. Personally I run a DnD session that tells a story with biblical principles. I give the players opportunities to show mercy to repenting villains whenever I can. One key thing I have to soberly keep in mind as someone who creates art and fictions with the intention of leading people in a direction towards the Lord is "does this edify or hinder?" Everything we do should and must conform the will of the objective God of reality. Please pray for me that whatever blind spots, biases, or self deceptions of the flesh I carry is gone for the glory of Christ Himself. I'd rather make certain and know I'm doing what is good in His eyes over my myopic worldview.

And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments" Do all things in love in the grand macro sense, that includes praying that the worst criminals of inner city violence, one thing I know God would prefer ideally is that they peacefully repent of their wickedness of harming the innocent, so that the salvation of all parties is achieved. Please pray as I shall now pray for peaceful discernment for His sacred end and to never fetishize the means that may have to happen at some point. Do you understand?

That type of discipline is the greatest fulfillment yet the greatest challenge at the same time. It's amazing because as you grow in discipline you realize how close to God you are growing and you realize there is no turning back! Praise God! But at the same time it may cause isolation because others around you may not understand why you're so "hard on yourself".
