Thank you so much for this. I am a "recovering" cancer patient who was treated despicably by my employers, and as a result of these two "difficulties" I thought I was loosing it, until this video. I believe that my Stubbornness helped me to hold on, some extent. Your videos are very insightful. Thanks again.

A haunted house, but it's just people saying "but it made you stronger" when you tell them about something that literally traumatized you.

The first time I heard the phrase “Post traumatic growth” I smelled bullsh*t. I only knew post traumatic hardship and suffering. Thank you Professor Sam Vaknin for your very articulate explanations of psychological ideas and concepts. It is a privilege to learn from you. Thank you for your generosity of presentations.

Great lecture. When I've heard about PTG from others, it often felt like spiritual bypassing. Leave it to the Professor to not sugarcoat reality or bypass the harsh realities of trauma.

I didn't expect the full-scale invasion. It felt like a betrayal with dimension of Cai and Abel. I think it retraumatized me but also triggered a lot of wounds and made me go no contact with my f...ed up family.

Prof. Your lectures always validate me and it feels good: that in the anormality of it all what happens in my shattered mind is “ normal”, explainable. So thank you But then, how do we help? What do you suggest? Christina

"Concentration of force in a point-like area" I love the metaphors from physics. The word psychodynamics is also interesting to me, in this regard.

I have been limerent since childhood, obviously due to unmet needs ect. How does fantasy in a limerent person compare to the fantasy of a narcissist? They both have obsessed thoughts and negative outcomes, but my limerent thoughts are never intended with manipulation. I only hyper focus on one person, compared to the narcissistic supply. Yet both the narcissist and the limerent person each live in their own shared fantasy, but on two different aspects. ❤ I watch you everyday❤ you're brilliant

Prof. Vaknin, Could the idea of "positive disintegration" be somewhat related to the concept of "benign regression" (Balint), "regression in the service of the Ego" (Kris) or initiation rites?
@samvaknin5 ай бұрын
No. I will dedicate a video to regression.

שושנים ודובונים❤ I wrote for you a real manifesto of appreciation and a detailed explanation for the attack that I saved alive from a narcissist friend who is currently in prison. Karma is giving him more than he ever imagined thanks to the fact that I was able to record a 40-minute audio that revealed to the world and to everyone the evil thing that was hidden between everyone and I hope that you will continue the mitzvah that you took as a personal journey to help everyone who does not see a future or identity before I encountered you dear professor and the most perfect person externally and internally supreme wisdom and enviable hair... thank you very much

A true blessing is surviving a gift from god, assuming of course that there is a God and that you actually survive.
