Is it normal to feel the pulse on the nose, forehead, or the back of my head?
@bofaboy92714 жыл бұрын
I can feel mine too everyday i first started feeling my artery’s for about 2 weeks now I don’t know why but it’s concerning to me I can feel it pulsing on the side of my ear, my temples on top of my head and also the back
@martin59634 жыл бұрын
Bofa Boy same bro, I feel them on the exact same spots and also Ive been having some headaches these days. I would advice you to not fixate too much on it, as anxiety can make it worse. I want to visit the doctor but with all this COVID situation its pretty hard at the moment. Please update me if you stop feeling them or know what can be causing them.
@bofaboy92714 жыл бұрын
Martín I will man. What I can tell you is I remember when it first started because I recently have been having acid reflux and I remember I was eating food and then I vomited that food up and 20 minutes later I started having those pulsing symptoms I did not think much of it until I noticed it more than one day I can also feel a pulsing like this in my stomach like a heartbeat I know for a fact I do not have stress nor anxiety so that’s why I am concerned because it’s just so random. I tried making an appointment to the doctors but I had to get a covid 19 nasal swab test before I can schedule an appointment which I did I am still waiting on those results as well as when I can schedule an appointment so I can get my blood checked because I think it maybe could be cholesterol or high blood pressure idk
@martin59634 жыл бұрын
Bofa Boy really? Mine started as a abdominal pulse too, I was taking a bath and started feeling it. Ever since that Ive been feeling it on my chest firstly, and now on my face and head. I can tell you I did a BIG BIG mistake and searched my symptoms on internet. The internet can be very harsh sometimes, when I first searched about my stomach pulsations 2,3 articles about Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm came up, Im usually a calm person but I don’t know why I convinced myself that I had one of those, and I was going to die, even though it would be very rare considering my age(17). I went to the cardiologist and all the tests came fine, but I wasnt satisfied and continued searching for diseases and conditions and things, this made things worse and then I started feeling my pulses on my head. So my advice would be dont search anything on the internet and even though sometimes we feel like were not anxious or preoccupied, we are. Im now waiting for things to calm out, to go see the doctor so now Im going to try to work on myself and my mental health as this can be really exhausting. So dont worry too much about it and always be positive. Please update when you can and I will too. All the best!

Dr. Sam, thank you for such informative video. I have been looking for a crash course to learn on this particular subject and found the content and your delivery just perfect. If anyone is interested, I have noticed that once in a while (every 2 to 3 weeks), my right temporal arteries (I checked for a pulse to make sure) get inflamed and more noticeable. This also occurs to the left side. I have made a correlation between my left side and stomach issues I have; however, I have no explanation for the right side. They seem to change back and forth and never seen both side flare up at the same time. The flare up will last for and avg. of 3 days and then subsides. BP is normal, no headache, pain, blurred vision. 42 yr old male. I do and have had dermatitis on mustache / beard locations for manny years. Any thoughts/advice?

13 mar 2020 4:42 pm edt: What is the best test to detect horton-disease/arteritis ? - check hypokalemia. i think potassium/kalium is relaxant. sodium is contraction-maker. too much sodium make tense-artery. [source: (1/3)'Like the men in the study, the women reported classic symptoms of Horton's disease such as pain around one eye, watery eyes and restlessness. Poor sleep and alcohol were typical triggers for both genders,' in www.rigshospitalet.dk/english/news-and-media/news/Pages/2017/april/women-suffering-from-Horton's-disease-often-overlooked.aspx from google(horton disease)result 6 (2/3)'Giant Cell Arteritis, also known as Horton Disease, is an attack on the body from its own immune system that results in painful inflammation of the arteries, usually around the temples and eye area.' in www.woodhamseye.com/blog/horton-disease-what-is-it-how-can-it-be from google(horton disease)result 3 (3/3)'What causes these arteries to become inflamed isn't known, but it's thought to involve abnormal attacks on artery walls by the immune system' in www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/giant-cell-arteritis/symptoms-causes/syc-20372758 from google(horton disease)result 6 ] too much sodium make tense-artery: (blood vessel xs) kzbin.info/www/bejne/rGfZqYOepMl4bLM says internal-elastic-lamina is the inner surface of blood-vessel. too much sodium can harden artery, maybe making internal-elastic-lamina not elastic anymore source : 1. 'Too much sodium can make blood vessels less flexible, which may cause or worsen atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries)' in www.berkeleywellness.com/healthy-eating/food/article/more-reasons-shake-salt-habit from google (salt harden artery) result 4 2. 'perfusion' in 'The Windkessel effect helps in damping the fluctuation in blood pressure (pulse pressure) over the cardiac cycle and assists in the maintenance of organ perfusion during diastole when cardiac ejection ceases' in en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windkessel_effect from 'Windkessel effect' in en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arterial_stiffness the meaning is : stiff artery loses windkessel effect. windkessel effect has perfusion effect. if perfusion does not happen then sugar remain inside blood vessel, sugar does not perfuse blood vessel wall (capillary) to reach cells, to nourish cells. 13 mar 2020 4:52 pm edt: and find: - possible cure for cough : 1. eat find 'food contain potassium :' because potassium/potash/pot-of-ash is water-softener. water-softener should remove scale/water-stain/calcium-and-magnesium-and-other-metal on throat-area [source:'Water softening is the removal of calcium, magnesium, and certain other metal cations in hard water. The resulting soft water requires less soap for the same cleaning effort' in en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Water_softening from 'water softening' in en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potash from 'potash' in en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Potassium]. eat potassium then sleep because potassium maybe muscle-relaxant so maybe feel sleepy after eating potassium, too much potassium maybe make puborectalis-muscle relax then wanting to defecate. in wortel.ucoz.com/loseweight_gainmuscle.htm 13 mar 2020 5:25 pm edt: about food which contain potassium/find 'food contain potassium :' in wortel.ucoz.com/loseweight_gainmuscle.htm maybe white-potato which has edible-skin, steamed or in soup, is digestible without causing loose-stool. banana, tomato make loose-stool. 18 mar 2020 3:30 pm edt: correction : avoid potato because cooked-potato contain part which taste bitter. that bitter-potato-taste causes flatulence, diarrhea. maybe eating sugary-food, drinking sugary-drink decrease sodium as well like potassium/kalium decrease sodium. so sugary-food, sugary-drink maybe cure horton-disease/arteritis. 18 mar 2020 3:33 pm edt:maybe korean-sweet-potato doesn't contain bitter-taste, and doesn't cause flatulence, diarrhea. maybe korean-sweet-potato cure horton-disease/arteritis as well.
