People deliberately nit-pick certain tactics from JLo (background vocals on her early songs) when the truth is so did Britney, Rihanna, Selena Gomez etc. But nah, they be chasing only exclusively JLo for that and hating on her. I repeated it a thousand times- we're talking about 12 songs from the catalogue of JLo where her voice in the CHORUS (only in chorus) was MIXED (not entirelt replaced) with left demo vocalists' voices. Still, she sang about +200 other songs in her career where you can clearly hear ONLY HER VOICE. So it never was that JLo didn't sing in her songs. But Britney actually did not sing cause some of her songs on Femme Fatale, Circus and Britney Jean were entirely sang by her vocal doppelgänger. Also, Ashanti (demo vocalist from I'm Real & Ain't It Funny) and Christina Millan (Play) both STOOD IN DEFENSE OF JENNIFER, also Christina Millan additionaly said that the whole industry uses background vocals and she does it on her own as well and she doesn't understand the hate. It's sad to see how conceited millennials and gen z-s who are like in their teens, 20s and 30s (and who could be JLo's children when you think about it) and who did achieve NOTHING in life hate on her and trash her via online like it was that easy. It's disgusting. And many of them are Mariah Carey's fans and they act like JLo is responsible for MC's entire feud with her husband Tommy Mottola in the late 90s/early 00s. Bitches, Mariah drown it all on herself. No one even ever questioned how weird it was she married a wealthy producer in her early 20s when he was 20 years older than her. Platonic love? I don't think so. I swear, Taylor Mariah, Beyoncè and Rihanna be escaping with every questionable thing they do (e.g. shading the shit outta people whenever they want), whereas hating on Lopez like she was the wirst human being.

They didn't give The Weeknd nominations back in 2021 for his ground-breaking record and singles only because he wasn't about to appear on the ceremony as he was assigned to perform at SuperBoel at that time. Kylie Minogue's Padam Padam is a crap and they gave her Grammy awards for that song for nothing, I think. JLo deserved nominations for her album On The 6 and various nominations for her dance-pop singles (specifically in that category) like On The Floor, Dance Again, I'm Into You, Cambia El Paso. Moreover, Waiting For Tonight deserved to win for the best dance-record in 2000 over Cher's over-autotuned "I Believe", with all the respect to Cher. Idk what you are trying to prove saying Ashanti won Grammys and JLo no. Ashanti could've taken I'm Real & Ain't It Funny in the early 2000s, but JLo still would've been bigger than her any day.

Ashanti had a VERY good career in the early 00s. She isn’t a failed artist. She has MANY HITS. She was outselling JLO (Singles & Albums) at times and also had more Grammy nominations and a Grammy win (something JLO doesn’t have). I think people give JLO a lot of hell, but Ashanti isn’t a failed artist, she just didn’t have the longevity because it’s more competition in her lane than JLOs. They’re are plenty of Black Female artists who have been at the top here in the US. That’s not the case for Latin Female Singers unfortunately.

Shelved or passed on tracks doesn’t mean an artist stole. Producers and songwriters do a-lot of reference tracks especially for main stream music, Justin Timberlakes first album was actually sent and offered to Michael Jackson first, theres videos here on youtube. But let it be jLo? They can spread lies. JLo has gotten a-lot better but referenced tracks, covered, or samples doesn’t mean stealing. I also believe as you stated songs are usually sold off.
