The average cost of the death penalty is nearly three times higher than that of life without parole, according to Houlé’s coalition. Once you get into drugs you have no control of your brain .. snoop dog is making millions by telling the country how he smokes weed .. while the younger generations are becoming toxic .. This sentence is a slap and an insult to the family of the victim. His wife will not have her husband back in 50 years time! Had the victim been a judge, a politician or some political figure, this murderer would have been sentenced to death or natural life in prison with ZERO chances for parole. The judge just pretty much told the criminal out there that you can kill and we will be lenient on you - AS LONG as you kill "commoners", not the elite, politicians or judges! This is disgusting - and then people wonder WHY crime rates are skyrocketing!

I actually think they should have these restitutions and they don’t stop if the victims family die. He could pay for it while in prison. We need prison reform where criminals learn a trade and can find ways to earn income via online or go out and break some rocks and clean up trash and clean up areas to help prevent brush fires etc. Any skills they learn and payment restitution can possibly lead to reduced sentences so long as they are no longer seen as a threat. The current system is terrible. The system releases criminals early and no way of supporting themselves. You cannot get out of prison until you have learned a skill and can prove you can support yourself. We need ways to stop rewarding bad and lazy behavior. You keep acting up in prison and you’re non-productive well guess what you will be executed then because you’re good for nothing.

@@f430ferrari5 I agree the prison system is messed up. But unfortunately Texas doesn't pay inmates a salary. They get paid in "good time" and privileges. So there's no way he can pay it in prison. TDC thrives off free labor. Inmates make the clothes, and mattresses, and tend the fields and farms, as well as perform maintenance wherever needed. And texas parole will always see him as a threat. He'll get hit with a 2D denial for nature of offense. If he gets parole he would have served the majority of his sentence. No point in rehabilitating this scum bag. He'll be an old man if he gets out

@@fartgangtv9143 I’m in California and all we do too often due to the trash liberals is release criminals with no consequences. Texas seems better related to the justice system. Maybe Texas doesn’t pay inmates because those who need to stay locked up are indeed kept locked up. California is the one that needs a more salary type system. California has to stop accepting homeless also. Many are from out of state. Weather is part of it but if we all realize this then something has to give. Illegals need to be addressed too. I don’t necessarily feel the crime rate is all that high but they take up too much resources. We need better sponsorship.

We need to go back in time, there’s no way he caused all of this heartache and simply goes to jail like a drug deal or white collar criminal would.

Sad but LMAO @ the last part about him having to pay 2 million in restitution! Prison work pays like 4 cents an hour, bro would need to serve like 25,000 years to pay that much

We need the death penalty in all the cases like this. TX should be executing 10 a day 365/7. We also need the sentence carried out within a year of trial.
