How police ended up arresting teen at his high school for murder of young father and son

A local teenager was arrested at his high school Wednesday on capital murder charges for the shooting deaths of a young father and son outside a West Side gas station in December 2023.
Joshua Castro, 18, told news cameras he was "not a murderer" while being escorted away in handcuffs at Public Safety Headquarters, hours after being pulled from class at Holmes High School and arrested.
Castro is accused of taking part in the robbery and shooting deaths of Raymond Ancira Sr., 34, and Raymond Ancira Jr., 15, at the Circle K on Potranco Rd. on Dec. 6, 2023.
