San Antonio Missions: Mission Concepcion | Mission San Juan | San Antonio TX
This week on our Sunday Side Trip, we return to San Antonio, Texas and the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park to explore 2 more historic Spanish missions. In this video, we visit Mission Concepcion (also known as Mission Nuestra Señora de la Purísima Concepción de Acuña) and Mission San Juan (Mission San Juan Capistrano). Established first in the 1600s in East Texas, these Texas missions have been gracing the banks of the San Antonio River since 1731.

We have a free lifetime pass to all national parks. Just waiting for covid to cool down a bit so we can go explore. We just love old buildings like the old mission. So cool!

I live right behind here. At the apartments. I grew up on s.flores and Cevallos so I live literally 15 minute drive away. Now it’s like a 3 minute walk. Idk what it is but besides the Alamo this one is my favorite then San José, San Juan, Mission Espada. But these are awesome. The Aquaduct is the only Spanish Aquaduct in the United States.

How the heck have you guys been? I have missed seeing you guysfor a while..... I just saw this video. Im still working 118 hrs a week. Im getting ready to payoff my F350 4x4 I bought last Jan. Next Im buying my 5th wheel and selling my yravel trailer. Then saving money to buy my property in N. Idaho before next summer and moving up to my property. Then I will start traveling the country 3 months a yr. This was a great Mission video. Im wishing you both a Very Merry Christmas season with many blessings and happiness.Love you guys. I did the mission tour probably 40 years ago in the summer heat...ugh...but it's nice to see they are still standing. When you say the missions were moved..you don't mean physically right?

Hey Debbie! The previous mission locations had more temporary structures. The stone versions weren't built until they chose the current locations.
