@@yettimannettii2039 I don't remember it being covered, and was caught completely by surprise the first time I encountered a cop swerving back and forth across the entire highway like a deranged maniac. And it took me a looooong time to get my license. Years. With training and testing spread across three states. I honestly don't think I would have been caught by surprise had the topic been covered by DMV-provided training materials and tests, given the number of times I went through it; but I've been wrong before so who knows.

I lived here in the 70s and 80s. CHP was a constant presence, such a part of the highways that the show Chips was made. Their presence kept traffic under control. This CHP could show up anytime any place. People understood driving wasn't a game. Now the only time you see them is at an accident for clean up. It is a free for all out there with people passing at 90 mph on your right. Yesterday somebody passed me on the shoulder of I 8 probably doing 75. Just insane disrespect and disregard. What happened to law an order?

Had to scooch the seat all the way forward, but the person was just able to reach the controls and see over the dash. Aids are available to help even shorter people drive.

If you're not comfortable running 70 to 80 plus mph...fender to fender / bumper to bumper.. (sounds like you are, thank you:) you're likely a huge part of the problem!! FIGURE IT OUT, OR GO HOME! For you newbies: When driving on our freeways, please consider the following, "very basic guidelines". 1- PLEASE figure out how to merge onto the freeway without stopping, and "attempt" to drive a steady speed. 2 - PLEASE "attempt" to choose a lane that suites the speed you are comfortable driving! 3 - If you are routinely: getting passed on the right, or getting flipped off or cut off by other drivers...YOU'RE IN THE WRONG F-ING LANE, MOVE TO THE RIGHT!! Pretty simple...RM. (62 years old)
