San Diego: PD Involved Crash 05212024

DETAILS:
An SDPD Patrol vehicle with two officers and a female prisoner was driving westbound on B St., transporting the female prisoner to the station.
As they were passing the Pershing Dr. exit onto B St., the male Uber driver and his male passenger came off of Pershing Dr. and attempted to cross the street and make their way onto 17th St. without looking for any westbound traffic. The UBER driver hit the SDPD vehicle.
The female prisoner claimed she had a complaint of pain from the seatbelt.
She was under arrest for Vandalism and a battery charge. No one else was injured in the collision.

Last few I took had some middle eastern drivers swerving more than any drunk driver. Both times I'm pretty sure it was fatigue and the guy was constantly falling asleep. Makes me reconsider them as a safe option
