Really appreciating these reviews of slightly older games that being a new gamer I might have missed. Keep them coming!

@Antonakis It's from an expansion. If you watch closely, you'll also see Goldsmith and Residence from the expansion. The expansion is only sold at retail as part of the Treasure Chest by Alea (bundled with a bunch of expansions from other games), but you should be able to buy just the San Juan expansion on eBay.

@wr00t Thats kind of the feeling I get too...but this is definitely more accessible. Use it to get people IN to RftG

@Jighm I have to mention another game in a game review? Yes I know this, but since it doesn't feel like Puerto Rico at all to me, I didn't bother.

Really looks like RFTG with a different theme and a bit lighter. I prefer how actions are taken in RFTG, you can always take the action you want. Also trading the "goods" is more controlled in RFTG and there is a lot more options. Overall it looks like a good game, but while playing this i would feel that i should be playing RFTG instead :))

@rpmetzler I guess not, it just surprised me that you didn't. It just seems only right to mention it.

@Antonakis Indeed I did...either that or I can't count!

Wow, he didn't even mention Puerto Rico once in this review. I mean, it's the game that it is the card game for. Doesn't he know this?

It's thematically similar to Puerto Rico, but the game mechanics are very different. For people who've already played PR, it's pretty obvious. For people who haven't, I don't see the benefit of mentioning it. IMHO.
