See stern version for this watch has applied index and numbers. Looks better with applied index dial

The "Seestern" Version of the Glashütte SeaQ homage is WAY better in this case. It has the NH35 as well, but applicated numbers and indices and a date complication! I know both versions and here is SM definitely the SECOND winner!

Good idea with an ST21 it's a 28800

Totally agree, the seestern looks great. For a few bucks extra you can get the 435 version too, with the hi-beat seagull st2130 movement instead of the nh35

Plus the Seestern variants have more interesting cases and more colors to choose from. Pricing is attractive as well.

Excellent, another fair and balanced review video. The SII NH35 is a robust, relatively easy to service or replace (with a SII NH38A) reliable movement so I would consider it a plus. In the past a ghost date position was a deal breaker, but now I can live with it.

I don't understand how Chinese brands being good is a surprise, as the majority of things are made on chinese factories, including microbrands

This is a nice looking piece; probably a toss-up between this & the 39mm titanium Pelagos homage.

@krasnaludek298 The price points are quite different though. Thanks for watching! 🙂👍

If you like the hands and the indices. Then this is a pretty good way to get a SM on your wrist. I like neither the hands nor the numbers and indices, so Im passing on this one. But that 62MAS clomage is a sweetie.

This is SM trying to course correct. They are seen as too expensive these days. So many other chinese manufacturers are rapidly approaching their level of finishing and offering as many (or more) models, but at significantly lower prices. I hope it works for them.

This is what‘s causing “San Martin fatigue”: mixing in the same parts over and over again into “new” models. If I was looking for a watch with this style, I’d pick the much more intricate Seestern S434 or S435 models any time over these lazily designed SM variants.

Actually, a number of German and French watchmakers used that dial going back to the 1950s. I'm not really a fan of homages unless they're of long retired models or, as in this case, it is or was a common and widely used design- much like fliegers...I ordered it in blue and I'm eagerly waiting!

One thing I never liked about ceramic bezels is the shiny finish. I'd take a steel or aluminum bezel more times than not. You also get the ghost bezel effect after a couple of years of wear.

What's that ghost bezel effect?
@Libertà_sulla_vita2 ай бұрын
@chukman aluminum bezels will fade over time. Gives it a cool worn in look.

Yeah, but I'll go shiny this one time..

I dont care so much for Swiss movements, as I own so many watches with Seiko movements which hardly ever have a problem, that an ETA or Sellita or whatever Swiss brand which ups the prices a lot without much gain. I like SII or Miyota maybe the latter 9 series a little better.

San Martin is turning way too expensive now, not worth buying it as there are other Make doing the same at more cheaper price.

Why?!? Why ghost position?!? NH38 is just a few dollars more!
