It is! This is a worthy effort but the bracelet link issue should be fixed in my opinion. Let's hope that they are listening and that they tackle the issue for the next iteration

That might be true, but I prefer a colour matched date wheel than a ghost position

Depends on the watch and dial design. The best place to put a date window is at the 6 imo.

The original is only 39mm. I am no fan of deployant clasps either, and that one doesn't look like it has any half links. I also agree that it isn't worth spending more and getting the SW200 movement, as the PT5000 is excellent

Great review 👍 Is the issue with the bracelet jutting out a function of being sized for a small wrist. Does this problem decrease for say a 7.5 inch wrist? Cheers, Steve

Hello Steve and thank you for you nice comment 👍. I suppose the problem would be a little less obvious if you have bigger wrists, but even so don't expect it to be perfect. Otherwise a very nice piece and the dial is truly mesmerising the more you look at it, I really wish they would fix those jutting Endlinks 😕

It is the next day after seeing this review and I am considering getting this watch. Obviously there are a few apologies with this watch but it appears to be the best Nautilus homage. I wish I had more experience with San Martin so that I could get a “hands on” sense of their quality.

I've got the same model in the mail! It's just been cleared from customs so should have it tomorrow. I think WR Watches has sent their stock back to the San Martin factory to address the bracelet issue you've mentioned. I agree that they should start to consider a see-through case back also - I think it'll be possible for me to make one. I'll update you if so.

They contacted me saying they had an issue with the bracelet indeed, but I don't think it's the same issue, they showed me a video where the middle link that attaches to the case was badly adjusted. They told me they have solved it, but I got this watch form another seller, maybe before this. I wrote them this morning explaining this, I'm waiting for them to get back to me. Very interested to know how yours turns out, maybe the bracelet will be better?? As for the open caseback very interested as well! @@Horologique ahhh interesting, WR watches mentioned the bracelet thing to me, but I've had a fever this weekend and can't remember exactly what they said! In some of the other videos I've seen the bracelet doesn't appear to have the same issue as yours, but it's anyone's guess right? I'll let you know how mine turns out for sure.

🤔 Not a bad effort but not great either. Your remarks is spot on and yes, it looks like that strap was designed after hours in the bar. Seems to me you are one of the very few who looks at homages other than Rolex Subs. Really appreciate that.

Oliver ,i just bought the updated version with the PT5000 plus the upgraded date at 6,unfortunately its still got the male link,pity,but i bought the sun ray blue again,i was tempted to buy the sun ray green or even the light blue….but there you go i think the darker blue looks much better and my favourite position for date has always been at 6 ,i would have bought the san matin bb58 chrono st19 but it doesnt include the date so i went with the pagan bb58 chrono with the vk63, i love that quartz movt it one of my favourite movts,but again no date…i might have to save for 2 years and buy a real Tudor chronograph with date…hahaha,never lol no … i think i will….

The other day my girlfriend was telling me about a musical Mickey Mouse watch that she used to have that. Broken or lost or something or other and she's always wondered another one but never got one so I did some shopping around and didn't realize how hot Mickey Mouse watches have gotten lately, probably due in part to the Snoopy watches but I got lucky and ordered her 2 vintage Lorus musical Mickey & Minnie mouse watches and a 3rd that was listed as a men's Mickey Mouse watch Just for kicks 😇 . Great looking watch but the bracelet is horrendous to resize. Mine now has three of the pins sticking out and I can't shift them meaning it's had zero wrist time and is just occupying space in a draw. The Nautilus has the same issues with the bracelet (pin and collar). It's one aspect it would have been better for them not to include in the homage.

ive been wearing it for 2 weeks now and the only downside that I can mention is the clasp! its too lose that when clenching my wrist, its easily get unbuckle!

That's a very good idea. They have come up with a new version with a date window at 6 and therefore no ghost date position, something I complained about this one

Sorry, I should have been more specific. Lol! That's not the right one. I like the 300m Professional, with the scalloped bezel and the tank track style bracelet. There are a few that make one, but not to the quality of San Martin. The Cronos is cool though. I recently watched a video on it.

If San Martin are going to make homages at least get the case shape right. The Nautilus is octagonal not round and that just looks wrong. I bought a direct copy of the Nautilus from AliExpress for £70 GBPs with the Patek logo on the watch, on the crown, on the rotor and on the clasp. It's exceptionally well finished with excellent brushing and polishing and a hacking and hand winding movement that is accurate to about a second per day. The blue graduated sunray dial is excellent and the case is as slim as the Patek. I can't speak of longevity, but I've had it quite a while now and it's quickly become one of my favourite watches. For the very low price I would buy another one without hesitation, not an overpriced, poorly executed coppage from San Martin who can't even make it look like a Nautilus.

Sorry, you've lost me. I just about get the Royal Oak and the need for a Chinese copy. I don't get at all any reason why a Chinese (sorry Hong Kong and Singapore) clone shop would want to copy this monstrosity. Made in somewhere, for underage Miami cocaine dealers. Not worth a review. Sorry.
