Avembe,I am a Melanin Lady wearing my rounded Yeshua Wool Fro. I used to wear my Kinky 4zzzzz hair hanging down. But now it is medium length and I have shaped my hair into an Afro.That is my signature look. I do not liked any products to alter my Kinks I have a real 1970s Afro. And you are correct the men always say that they would love to see us the Melanin women wearing our God given hair. The Melanin & Caucasian men are always in awe of the Yeshua Fro. And the women are always saying that they have not seen a rounded Fro in YEARS. The 21st. Century,well thank goodness that we are seeing our Natural Hair that we had in the 1970s.

You do know most men stop approaching women when they go natural right. To say all men like natural is a lie. Mens beauty is formed from television. Most men dont even really like women without makeup because all women do not have blotch free, acne free skin. They like near perfection without makeup.

1obedience. I was the opposite ...When I was in 8th grade my black friends had this discussion...when I told them that even IF I were white I would still want nappy hair they looked at me as if I had lost my mind. Keep in mind this was in the 70s.

You wanted that lice infested limp hair? White people hair smells like sour milk. I will take my Shea butter, delicious coiled, shiny Black halo any day, over some dog limp hair. When women buy weaves, they are not buying Caucasian hair. No one wants that shit. White women don’t want their own hair. Why should you?

I'm so over us and our hair. Sanaa Lathan looks beautiful but I'm so tired of black women and hair. It's to the point ,we have become obsessed over it! I've been natural since 2014 accidentally when trying to get a relaxer and my hair fell out. That was my wake-up call. We live in an European world and we are not the standard of beauty. Just be who you are. I'm so tired of black women trying to get everybody to love our natural hair! It's unrealistic, everybody will not love your hair or you. 10/3/18

Cupcakes 701...absolutely agree. I've been natural( no straightening) since 1987 and am tired of this recent obsession with hair by some of the same people who avoided and ridiculed me for having nappy hair back then.
@madamerouge40826 жыл бұрын
Hear me out. I don’t think it’s about everyone else loving it. It’s definitely about us loving ourselves, being okay with our natural selves and like you said loving who we are. It’s not just about hair. It never was. As a little black girl growing up thinking long straight hair is the only standard of beauty. We ALL put something on our head that’s caused some women deadly medical issues. Plus everyone else obsesses over their hair why can’t we 😅😂 Tyra has an entire segment where woman of all shades cry and almost leave her competition over their hair. 10/10/18

Then they wear too much make up...I love who God made in me. Sisters are beautiful being natural, maybe just a little make up....regardless of theirs skin tone....I am 52, people think I am in my 30's, because I do not wear all this trash...nor dress like a harlot...Priase God!!!
