Used one today and had 5 sea trout in 20 min . I used the single hook and had all my strikes on a pause during the retriev. I would highly recommend this lure for sea trout.

I only use the single hook now, and find I can fish them on rough ground without loss. Fantastic lure, a lot of my marks are low water or long cast spots, and these fly.

Very crucial advice Henry, thanks a million! What kind of retrieve would you recommend for seabass, here in Greece we twitch and jerk the hell out of it but we have a lot of unsuccessful strikes or fish that follow but don't strike.

They look amazing. are these surface lures or do they sink and you have to get them up to the surface?

if you really rip them with a high rod you can get them up on the surface, but I can think of better lures for fishing like this

I feel on the newer models of these the single hook, although an excellent hook, is far too thick gauge wire for the split rings provided. Every time I rig the single it over stretches the ring and deforms it. Lovely lures though and to be honest the single is a far better hook than on previous versions, I found they corroded.

Just spent 20 minutes trying to pry that split ring open today before just giving up and leaving the treble on. Slightly annoying but still a great lure, casts like a missile
