Definitely have 3 of those 5 tied on. Since I do mostly bank fishing the spoon is killer in the early spring. The bass are crushing the swim baits year round especially with a stop and go retrieve or just cranking enough to keep it above the weeds. Who doesn't love a topwater bite????

My advice get out as early as you can and top water fish. Once the sun has been up for maybe an hour go fish deep. You’ll be surprised how deep you’ll catch bass. I’ve been catching Largemouth and Smallies since July anywhere from 35 to 75 ft down. Thanks livescope.

When I pull up to the river targeting smallies, i got a whopper plopper on one rod and a ned rig with a zman TRD or trick shot. Between those 2 lures i havent gotten skunked but one or 2 times all summer. Obviously sometimes I try other stuff, namely an inline spinner or squarebill.

me and my friend started fishing 4 days ago we have went all 4 days for prob 4 hours each day and we havent caight a single fish😭😭 weve asked local fishermen where and what to use bit do you think the water temp is hurting our chances?
@thatfishingnoob Жыл бұрын
@@benwhitting I know bass like to be cool, so whenever it’s hot they will go deep and will also cling to structure/shade. Try going out earlier in the morning or fishing later in the evening, and if you find the bait fish, you’ll most likely find the bass as well. What are you fishing for? If it’s a fish that eats other fish, the rule of thumb is find the bait fish, find the fish. The fish have to eat too :). ALSO, depending on your lure and presentation, one thing I found out when I first started is I was fishing way too fast. I hope you and your friend are able to land a fish soon! It’s addicting.
@DoctorSess Жыл бұрын
@@thatfishingnoobthey move deeper because it’s cooler but also because the deeper water holds more oxygen. Generally you’re right m: they do move deeper. There are exceptions though. I’ve actually been catching some good fish (4lb+) in less than five feet of water, sometimes in the hottest part of the day. Afternoon topwater bite has been good.

Middle of summer, square billed, perch colored crank thrown in lay down timber... This is a hot water tactic very few people ever use, very easy to throw and retrieve as it bounces through the limbs. Catches tons of fish in the dog days! It's summer, there all fishing deep.. 60% of the fish never leave 10' of water because the oxygen is there.
@johnnymassengale6275 Жыл бұрын
If I had a sixth choice, it would be a 3/4 oz football jig with either a creature bait, a jumbo Ned TRD, or a worm as a trailer.

Quick question. I only bank fish. Close to my house is the head of a river. It's fairly slow moving but the water is clear. You can see multiple big bass but they won't hit on anything. I've tried most possible combinations under the sun. Any advice on what might work. The water isn't that deep maybe 10 ft. At the deepest point. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
@robojoe6313 Жыл бұрын
Rule of thumb I always go by... If you can see the fish, they can see you, and just like he said in the video, they've probably been under a lot of pressure and have seen almost any lure you can think to throw. Find the fish and go back early in the morning,. Don't walk up to the bank. Stand WAY back and throw top water. They WILL hit it if they are there. Hope this helps❤
@robojoe6313 Жыл бұрын
And I know it may sound crazy but wearing camo actually will make a difference. If they see your fishing pole this time of the year they will not bite no matter how hard you try.
@robojoe6313 Жыл бұрын
One more thing. You can also just walk and look for fish but just because you see one, DON'T STOP and throw at it, That will immediately spook the fish and eliminate all possibility of any strike. Walk straight past it until you know they can't see you and then throw past them and fish it back to you
@BassFeedWA Жыл бұрын
Hmmm, I'm sure these would work alright up North, but honestly, my list would look pretty different...I should do a tops baits video for northern states. If I wasn't in a tournament coming up I'd spill the beans...lol maybe after the tourney

I don’t know about anyone else but a flutter spoon where I fish would last about 1 cast because it would get hung up on the bottom every cast, I’d have to take a case of them
@SouthJerseyBass4 ай бұрын
When bank fishing anytime your running treble hooks and let it sink to the bottom with any lure your risking it. I try to pop anything with a treble right before it gets to the bottom. I’ve lost some really expensive lures from the bank and it sucks. Especially when you get hung up before you even get a fish on it
