Episode 7 of The Dharma Podcast mega series narrating the Marxist destruction of Indian History narrates the long, toxic and distortionist career of Irfan Habib.
Irfan Habib has been the most vocal propagandist of rewriting Indian history to force-fit it into Karl Marx’s wild theories. He has also been the most vicious denouncer of the RSS, Hindutva and Hindu Dharma. In one of his articles, he has called Hindu nationalism as a disease.
For decades, Irfan Habib treated the Aligarh Muslim University as his personal fiefdom. He has awarded and promoted those who toed his line and destroyed the careers of those who merely disagreed with him.
Irfan Habib was Chairman of the Indian Council for Historical Research for a record FIVE TIMES! Like Romila Thapar and others, he used the ICHR as a private bank, enriching himself on Indian taxpayer money.
Habib's history works are a mass of falsehoods and dubious interpretations calculated to serve the cause of Marxism, not objective history. His tactics of sidelining and conspiring against his own colleagues are hardly befitting an academic.
Irfan Habib's role in the Ayodhya episode deserves a special mention. This episode cites from the copious speeches and writings of Irfan Habib in this regard and shows him to be a staunch anti-Hindu.
Do watch and listen to the whole podcast that contains revealing information and rare anecdotes exposing the voluminous misdeeds and distortions committed by Irfan Habib.

sir , someone like you with background in a rigorous academic field, like medicine or surgery, should have a solid understanding of how academia functions. they all are likely familiar with the importance of evidence-based research, peer review, and the value of academic freedom. It is very dangerous and makes everyone sad that how you must be working for public health services . It’s clear you have strong feelings about the interpretation of Indian history and the role of certain historians. Engaging with historical scholarship and debating different perspectives is a crucial part of academic discourse. While it’s important to critically evaluate historical interpretations and consider various viewpoints, banning scholars or their work might not be the best approach to addressing disagreements. In academic communities, it’s generally more productive to engage in open dialogue and critique rather than exclusion. This allows for a richer, more nuanced understanding of history and helps ensure that diverse perspectives are considered. The Dharma Dispatch" is associated with a right-wing perspective, So you are also believing on same narrative likewise they say the history books were narrative . Here's how such a channel could present its narrative- Cultural and Historical Emphasis: The channel might focus on traditional values and historical narratives that align with right-wing views. This could include highlighting the achievements of ancient Indian civilizations and emphasizing their contributions to modern Indian identity. Critique of Left-Wing Historiography: It may critique and challenge Marxist or left-leaning interpretations of Indian history and culture. This could involve questioning the accuracy or biases of leftist historians and presenting alternative viewpoints that align with right-wing perspectives. Promotion of Nationalism: Content could emphasize nationalism and the importance of preserving traditional Indian values and cultural heritage. This might include discussions on the significance of Hindu culture and the need to protect it from perceived external influences. Social and Political Commentary: The channel might provide commentary on current social and political issues from a right-wing viewpoint. This could include discussions on policies, national security, and social reforms that align with right-leaning ideologies. Emphasis on Traditional Values: Videos might highlight the importance of traditional family structures, moral values, and religious practices. This could include content that promotes conservative views on social and cultural issues. Historical Figures and Events: The channel might focus on historical figures and events that are seen as embodying right-wing values or that align with a conservative interpretation of history. Debates and Discussions: Featuring debates or discussions with scholars, activists, or commentators who share or support right-wing perspectives on historical and cultural issues. in the context of historical interpretation and criticism, it's essential to consider various aspects: Multiple Perspectives: History is often interpreted differently based on the historian's perspective, methodology, and ideological stance. What one historian views as a distortion might be seen by another as a valid interpretation based on different evidence or theoretical frameworks. Critical Examination: Evaluating historical claims requires examining evidence critically. This means assessing primary sources, corroborating facts, and considering the historian’s methods and biases. In the case of Irfan Habib, or any historian, it’s important to scrutinize their work to understand how they arrived at their conclusions and to assess the validity of their arguments. Bias and Objectivity: All historians bring their own biases to their work, whether they are Marxist, nationalist, or hold other viewpoints. The "truth" in history often lies in balancing these perspectives and understanding that no single narrative can capture the complete reality. Scholarly Debate: Historical scholarship thrives on debate and discussion. Criticisms of historians like Irfan Habib are part of a broader academic dialogue. Engaging with different viewpoints and evidence is crucial for a more comprehensive understanding of historical events. Documented Evidence: When addressing claims about historians' work, such as those related to Irfan Habib's interpretations or administrative roles, it’s essential to rely on documented evidence and verified sources. This includes looking at published works, official records, and credible critiques. The resources are highly credible and represent a range of respected voices in Indian historiography. However, it's important to consider a few key points about the nature of historical evidence and the controversy around saffronization: ### 1. *Primary Sources as Evidence*: - *Why They Matter*: The core strength of the works by historians like Romila Thapar, Bipan Chandra, and D.N. Jha is their reliance on primary sources-original texts, inscriptions, official documents, and archaeological evidence. These primary sources are crucial because they are the closest link to the historical reality, unfiltered by later interpretations. - *Examples in Their Work*: - Romila Thapar’s work on ancient India heavily relies on inscriptions and literary sources from the period. - D.N. Jha’s work on the sacred cow uses ancient texts and historical records to challenge modern interpretations. ### 2. *The Issue of Saffronization*: - *Historical Revisionism*: Saffronization refers to the attempt to rewrite history with a particular ideological agenda, often emphasizing a Hindu-centric narrative. Critics argue that this process selectively uses or misinterprets primary sources to support specific political goals. - *Credibility*: The historians you mentioned, including Thapar and Jha, are critical of saffronization because they argue it distorts historical facts to fit a modern political agenda. Their critiques are based on rigorous analysis of primary sources and are widely respected in the academic community. ### 3. *Historians and Political Influence*: - *Political Context*: The controversy often arises from the intersection of history and politics. Historians like Irfan Habib and Romila Thapar have been accused of having leftist biases, but their work is grounded in extensive research and evidence. - *Evidence vs. Interpretation*: While interpretations can vary depending on a historian’s perspective, the credibility of their work largely depends on how faithfully they adhere to the primary sources. The critiques of saffronization are often about the selective use of evidence, rather than a rejection of certain political ideologies per se. ### 4. *True History*: - *Complexity of "Truth"*: In history, “truth” is multifaceted. The closest we come to it is through a comprehensive analysis of primary sources, balanced interpretations, and the inclusion of multiple perspectives. - *Continuous Debate*: The debate around saffronization is ongoing, reflecting the dynamic nature of historical scholarship. What is considered "true" history is constantly evolving as new evidence comes to light and as historians continue to debate and interpret that evidence. ### Conclusion: The works of historians like Romila Thapar, Bipan Chandra, and D.N. Jha are credible primarily because they are based on robust evidence, particularly primary sources. Their critiques of saffronization stem from concerns about the misuse of history for ideological purposes, which they argue distorts the understanding of India’s complex past. While their work may be interpreted as politically motivated by some, the foundation of their credibility lies in their rigorous adherence to evidence-based research.

🙏🙏🙏 Just one detail to add to the comprehensive demolition of the 'works' of the worst communalist among Indian historians -- Irfan Habib Esq. Prof. M. G. S. Narayanan (a truly great historian from Kerala) was the Member Secretary of the ICHR during the early 90s, when the Ram Janmabhoomi agitation was at its peak. He has recorded how he overheard Mr. Habib coaching the office bearers of AIBMAC (Babri Masjid Action Committee) before court hearings. These office bearers were sometimes inclined to seek a 'compromise solution' with the Hindu Janmabhoomi organizations. Mr. Habib would shout and berate them, and insist that they should not 'give in' to the hideous Hindus. Prof. Narayanan says that he was quite startled to discover the toxic communal venom that this so-called Marxist historian carried in his heart.

Full disclosure - As a schoolkid, I never believed a word of my history textbooks because 1. How could I verify if those things were true ? 2. Even if parts of it were true, how could it be meaningfully complete in a few paras/pages ? In short , I had concluded at a young age that our history books could have only contained lies and half truths. 💪🏿

This gang from Aligarh, Delhi and JNU copied from the Pakistani textbooks, as proved by Dr.Rossiter in her PhD thesis at the University of Texas. These gang members are not Marxists; they follow Pakistani and British historians. Marx was not anti-Indian. Marx was not anti-Religion either. He wrote Religion is the sigh of the oppressed, heart in an otherwise heartless world. In his books, India's First War for Independence 1956-58, and Notes on Indian History, he admired India and wrote against the Islamic invasions and slave trade of the Ottoman Empire. The Aligarh gang also supported the Aryan invasion theory promoted by the British. Marxists at Moscow University support the observation of BG Tilak that the Aryans originated in the Arctic Circle of North Russia before the last Ice Age and came to India in about 27000 BC when the Ice Age started to escape from death. Modern DNA studies support that. At least 20 per cent of the people of North India have the same DNA (R1a1) as the 40 per cent of the people of Russia. Tilak's books are translated into Russian by Russian archaeologists.

Keep up the good work guys, seems like my parents' generation is plagued with such foolish ideas about our own history, ideas that are obviously Marxist in origin. I didn't even have to discover the level of detail you guys went into before calling BS as I have observed our own people, though kind as they may be, have never shied from rebellion and brute force in the face of injustice, and yet people of your generation buy into the utter nonsense that us Hindus simply bent over and welcomed these hoards. Nah, it's not how it works. Perhaps the biggest contradiction in my head is how do we come to idolize our elders like Bhagwan Parashuram did (obeying his father's orders) when what they utter is malicious lies?

While their work may be interpreted as politically motivated by some, the foundation of their credibility lies in their rigorous adherence to evidence-based research.

fundamentallly islam as well as abrahamic religions have two things against idolators; 1. they dont understand that hindus use idols as a medium to reach out to subtle or forces that cannot be understood with our senses. for example by creating an idol of sun and meditating on the idol and qualities of sun, you gain knowledge of sun and its powers. 2. basically idol worship is a science like modelling. 3. abrahamic people say there is only one god ; as far as hindus, they also say there is only one god; but he manfiests himself as several. Moses could not understand the logic; asked his followers to kill/enslave the enemies/dimmies/kafirs/idolators and to this day world has seen billions of death as per google maria wirth

Past is past we all say. Nehru put in his book present comes from past very good . But don't equate past with history Unfortunately we do especially in our schooling. This is making lot of misinformation as true in our schools and controlling our mind set. We have to make a concerted effort to change this. Hope i could see that happen. Irfan n romila are just,#*"# what I have to discribe them
