Sandeep Maheshwari is a name among millions who struggled, failed and surged ahead in search of success, happiness and contentment. Just like any middle class guy, he too had a bunch of unclear dreams and a blurred vision of his goals in life. All he had was an undying learning attitude to hold on to. Rowing through ups and downs, it was time that taught him the true meaning of his life.

No narcissist will see this video because they think that they know more that Sandeep Maheswari without seeing any of his video. Actually they never admit that they have this problem. I saw people like this... Edit: For those who thinks they are narcissistic and still watching this... If you are watching a learning video instead of some meaningless stupid reels, if you are having self realisation it's really great. There are some levels of this problem. I have seen some extreme cases mainly in elderly persons. We young people have enough time and chances to make ourselves better. Because we are still learning. But some people believe that they have learnt enough and knows everything so they don't need to listen to others. That's what I wanted to mean in this comment.

I think mr Maheshwari has never come across a narcissist. This is the reason he is downplaying it. Also he is trying to normalize it. Nothing against him. But narcissists destroy lives of those near them. They are very very very dangerous.

Narcissism is very common now a days. Been there in a relationship for 5 years with a grandiose narcissist. Tolerated everything starting from manipulation, gas lighting, being insecure myself and then finally consulting a psychologist and getting over the relationship. Remember if you figure out this once,DO NOT GIVE A SECOND CHANCE. NEVER, they are living vampires, they will never change.

A narcissist paints a picture of themselves as being the victim or innocent in all aspects. They will be offended by the truth. But what is done in the dark will come to light. Time has a way of showing people’s true colors.

Listening to Sandeep, I feel truly blessed that I was a part of a family that had humble beginnings towards a beautiful present. I grew up never in my comfort zone, always one place to another. Experiences have shaped me outside my own social environment. Maine mostly ye cheezein apne aap ko renew krne k liye ki hain, but main samjh skti hoon ki har insaan kuch din akele reh kar khid ko smjhne ki koshish kre ye har kisi ke bass ki nahi hai, aese me iss cheez ke importance ko smjhna bhi mushkil hai. Maine kai baar kaha hai, main pravaah mein hoon. Insaaan ki zindgi inn experiences se hi aur rich hoti hai. Everything Sandeep sir said now I have been deliberately doing because that has how ive wanted to experience life, curiosity ke sath. I loved it.❤️ Mera toh in fact, kitni baar mazak udaya gaya hai inn cheezon ke liye, jbki main har kisi ko encourage krungi ki wo ye krein for personal development. Go solo, meet new people, get out of ur comfort zone.. jab tk life me major setbacks dekhe nhi hain in all aspects, deal nhi kiye, tb tk dekha hi kya hai. Mujhpe ye bhi ilzaamat hain ki ye solo trips pe "krti kya hogi" .. if u knw what I mean. Or the choices, or lifestyle or anything for that matter. Maine react krna hi chhor diya hai. Experience se hi smjh ata hai ki koi kya krta hai, aur kyun. Also, I have a level of understanding about such situations now. Im like, chhoro jaane do.. kya hi hai. Focus khud pe hai. ❤️🙂 Wish personal inner achievements to one & all who take this inner journey. ✨

No everyone is not a narcissist. Narcissist lack basic emotional growth and processing. She is right that narcissists are incapable of empathy and self-realization and think themselves as victims. It’s very hard for them to break that cycle. Even after breaking their daily cycle, getting them in an ideal situation, they will come back thinking worse about their life and find someone to compare their spouse instead of finding their own faults.

(Ofc that’s possible when a narc gains consciousness about himself n try to improve on it) I would like to say he actually gives very real n unconventional advices than the bookish knowledge or even professionals with such great articulation - unravelling n simplifying all the things in front of us. When you tell abt solution , there is no solution other than leaving the narcissist. The narcissist person will never go to any therapist, wil never seek for any change bcz he is always right and perfect. If someone is wrong it's always the other person. A narc will never take responsibility but will always control. Whoever tells that he/she is wrong, he/she will cut off from that person. Moreover, they have very nice image upfront , everyone's favorite , center of attraction but they never have any long term friends. So when you discuss abt a narc correcting himself or herself that's never going to happen

My ex has a narcissistic personality disorder and is a socciopath I have done a lot of research about it. Comparing, bringing others down, extremely manipulative behaviour and lack of empathy are the main thing about narcissism. They have lack of understanding about life. They make your self esteem low in a relationship. They think they are greater than everyone. Narcissistic abuse is real.

I feel thankful to watch this video. I am cursed with Narcissism. It was not my choice to be one. I was very frightened as a child. Some circumstances made it so. I developed very selfish reflexes and defence mechanisms. I had very loving and compassionate parents. I always had problems with understanding my own emotions. Always felt vulnerable. This got replaced by arrogance, self gaslighting, and gaslighting others too. My father could read that something was wrong with me. He desperately wanted me to get out of this habit and tried his best. I drove him nuts. Got thrashing too.I did not understand it then. All my narcissistic mind could remember is my resentment for those beatings. I clung to self gaslighting like someone naked would cling to a torn robe. My low self esteem was the main culprit. I desperately wanted to overcome my innate fear. But I had fallen in the thinking pattern of blaming others .making others feel guilty. Fear is the most dangerous feeling. It makes you react unnecessarily, enlarge things, and your emotions become so unstable. I feel terribly ashamed when I think of all the mess and pain that I have left around me. I am still struggling to correct my thinking process. I still fall in the same old pattern of thinking and behaviour. This is very painful process but essential if I have to kill my narcissistic self and emerge as a healthy and good human.

Very diluted version of narcissism is discussed here in this video. In reality we should never expect improvement from a narcissist and just leave them for our own sanity and health.

I wrote it on your birthday on 28Sept this year- "Happy Birthday to my Guru Sandeep Maheshwari Sir. Your quote-"Learn from everyone but follow no one" has become my fav quote & motto of life. Your solution oriented seminars make me solution oriented rather than problem oriented. When I feel depressed and isolated, your teachings inspire me. Thank God that I've found you in my life as a mentor when I was totally aimless. Your question minded process makes to understand every single topic very clearly. In a true meaning, you're a real teacher!" One day while I was searching on KZbin about 'peace', I found your video(around last month of 2019). I liked it and found all of my answers. Take love & respect from Bangladesh, Sandeep Ji!

Sandeep ji's talks are always amazing and gives food for thought. I came here to understand Sandeep jis view on narcissism. Looking forward from you sir on more clear thoughts on this... From my understanding, eventhough they know about life, they don't know much about their inner self or they donno why they are like that. But if we go and empathize them or help them correct then we will be in trouble and narcissist makes ourselves confused or mad and make ourselves low. This gives them happiness and energy for their narcissist behaviour . Finally we were nowhere , we have to keep away from such people for our own survival and peace of mind. This toxic behaviour we can't find in common people. Narcissist people are really different, unfortunately we can make out at a point where we will be totally exhausted and these people are unchangeable.

I wanna add something to this, a narcissists never think that they need any therapy or they lack something. They're always right and they changes their statements according to their benefits. It's very dangerous for a child to manage with a narcissists parent. They're difficult to go with. They're perfect in all sense according to them. Narcissists always blame others they are not in fault. They don't want to change.

Mild and even moderate narcissism is almost undetectable. Only people those who are self-satisfied and practicing some kind of yoga, can diagnose mild to moderate disorder because they know what they are as Sandeep has said that know yourself and knowing what is life is side by side. Severe Narcissism is a really big problem and mostly will be associated with bipolar disorder. And bipolar disorder is definitely having genetic as well as familial association. In severe narcissism it is very difficult to sperate apart narcissism and bipolar disorder. I have too closely encountered this disorder in my wife who is a renound cardiologist and three of her first and second degree relatives became frankly psychotic and there are suicidal tendency in some or aggressive behavior in others in nearly 50% of her paternal relationship. Good show Sandeep..💐

Sandeep Maheshwari ji NPD is an illness and it is diagnosable. There are definite clinical tools to assess and diagnose NPD and also commonly used. Narcissist and NPD are different. Both of you really tried to explain it nicely in simple language! We all have essential characteristics of narcissism, however in a manner which is very refined, controlled, socially accepted, and non- harming (at least non-intentional) to others. We have no infrastructure in India to protect victims from narcissism, infact our dis-functional system producing more and more narcissists. We need majority of people in our society with advance level understanding to slow down narcissistic production but our society is full with people lacking fundamental understanding of life. I also believe that introducing narcissism to underdeveloped society can make the situation worse for example we trying to train somebody to be a car mechanic when he/she doesn't even know how to drive.

Sandeep sir's life or career is based on the fact that people can change. But there are always exceptions. Expecting a narcissist to change is like expecting a desert to cool down suddenly. It's desert is desert because it's hot. Just like the fact that an ethical person can't choose to be an evil suddenly and stick with it, same way a narcissist can't become a good person. They NEVER change. Run!!!

Thanks for the detailed information. Most of the points are clearly explained. I would like to share a few thoughts over this. 1. I don't think narcissism can be improved by travelling. The narcissist have there own way of finding the wrong in everything, there are more chances that person will become more negative rather than accepting the alternate reality. 2. Everybody is not a narcissist, As explained in video A person can only be termed as narcissist if his actions/words are causing harm/pain to others. 3. Understanding the deep love of deeper self could be a cure but a narcissist person cannot see those things otherwise they won't be a narcissist.

But I went through a lot of trauma I felt lonely, ignored by everyone which made me think that everyone around me is wrong & I started thinking about me only. There were people in my life who were very close to who broke my trust, kind of cheated. I have trust issues so It made me think one sided. I have never been a privileged kid nor I got special attention from anyone. Whatever I have achieved in my life even after so much trauma is because of my own abilities & hence I give importance to me but It doesn't mean I give less importance to anyone else, I have just stopped thinking about others. I don't know if I am a narcissist or not. Though I want to work on my loopholes & thanks for this session, it made me realise at some aspects I might be going wrong.

Even if some one wish to change it will be difficult for them if it feels like a crime to them. Sandeep jis approach was very kind here in this video vs the lady who is constanly finding the wrong in others. For a moment it felt like she was talking about her own personal.life. This kind of subjects needs to be approached very sensetivly. Not based on social media success

Bro if you are admitting that , you're not actually a Narcissist , they function quite differently , they believe their lies because of their high Egos , they can go lengths to destroy you and believe that they are doing it right , they will try to create drama out of small things and leave you confuse , they may overreact , giving you vague reactions that you didn't expected , create an argumentative tone and blame it all on to you , gaslight you , question your perception and reality , they are very sneaky , they may appear to say things innocently but you mY notice completely different vibes ,you will feel the evilness but for slight a bit .

Dear Sandipji Good day Please be informed that Narcissist always wants focus on him at any moments anyhow, for turning attention they do anything, creating drama, acting like victim/Patient, They can never see anybody happy/normal, Any situation should not be normal, there should be chaos/indecisive/never ending process, Due to childhood trauma, internally they are sad/empty so as to balance their inner feelings they create anything to bag you to their sadness, Narcissist can not be repaired, Doing any efforts are itself is energy for them and results will be zero, They are energy vampires, In any conflicts weather it's at home/office/wars, there must be 1 Narcissist who never wants to keep situation normal, Request you to kindly try to understand more about narcissism, Regards

Sandeep sir it's is a very good topic. In our daily life we come accross such people. And u spoke about the kid if all his demands or desires are fulfilled he can turn to be a narcissist. But narcisit can also be elder of our family mostly Father's, husband who think that they are head of the family and rule the members in their family. will not give an opportunity to their kids and wife to express their thoughts and needs. Anyways kids move away from the house in their life's but ultimate sufferer is the wife and she is helpless. And this kind of person never changes even at the end stage of their life. So please make some large sessions to address such kind of people and make them aware that what they are going through and the impact on their loved once. Thank you sir for all the good things you do. God bless you 🙏💐

Thank you so so much Sandeep ji and Ma'am it would help me in my relationship and relation with others as well. I'm surrounded by like these people and i think some past trauma make you this type you are right every people in some of different points are narcissist. Some of become aware of it or others who is higher level of it they don't even want to accept or discuss about it. So how can they changed about their behaviour. I praying to God The Almighty only could help them. They have no idea that other are suffering for them.
