I feel so happy to see all of those lambs and soon my FAVORITE part will happen, the FROLIC , I call it FROLic when the baby lambs are big enough to romp about while the mom's are eating along the feeder sides, they go bonkers, racing this way and that like those flocks of birds do in the sky, huge swarms going this way and suddenly going the other. I especially LOVE LOVE LOVE when they suddenly leap mid run. its hilarious because then the ones behind will try it and some can[''t and other sail through the air. I grab a cup of coffee and watch the frolic over and over again.

Thank you Sandi for continuing to bring me joy and a few memories creep in now and then. I’m not sure that anyone can understand my love for sheep. I fell in love with sheep when I married my husband, he worked on his grandfathers sheep farm where they had Shropshire’s and Oxford sheep. I got to nurse all of the baby lambs that either mom didn’t have enough milk or mom didn’t like them for some reason. There weren’t that many that needed the extra attention but when they did I was their momma and I loved it ! This was about 50 years ago so we didn’t have a nanny and I used a regular baby bottle getting up through the night to feed them. We kept them in our living room in an overturned baby crib and sometimes they escaped through the rungs on the crib because they were so small. Very fond memories for sure ! So thank you again Sandi for always being there and giving me memories that make my heart sing ! 🪻🌷💚🙃

I think it is important to note the positive effect social media has on progress in sheep farming. What farmers used to get when talking to the neighbor over the fence or at market, now flies around the world in real time via social media. It might not make a huge difference overall to the industry, but anything that makes a tired farmer’s life easier is going to help keep people farming, and therefore support the industry.
