No overt sexuality or plastic surgery, just a talented British girl with good looks and a voice to go with it !

Sandies financial difficulties were years ago, she has been finanacially secure for many years since that time. She is now respected as a ground breaking artist, and is regarded as a true icon of British popular music!

Yeah, typical AI-sounding generic rubbish trashing the career of a great singer who has re-invented herself. Why not focus on her therapy, her (fairly) recent re-recording of Puppet on a String and other new stuff - her enduring robustness. A proper talent, that deserves the respect of decent research, not click-bate.

Oh well, she got over it, it seems. I have immense respect for singers of the era, but her version of occasional insolvency probably beats my version of constant solvency any day of the week. Get over it, Mr AI Man! You ain't seen nothing yet! Who said that? JJ Geils perhaps?

Sandie Shaw is one of the top and my top most influential central singing female voices who added a new and a genuine dimension of beautiful vocal colour to my musical world of song. It is time we all chipped in and help and give her a helping hand here and now in her time of need. I suppose I should lead in this charitable act of generosity. Sandie, if you should read this comment please do get in touch ASAP!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Sandy was an astounding talent in British pop. In my opinion, there were few female pop artists who could compare to her - Dusty Springfield being the only one I can recall. Her powerful voice, professional delivery and charming persona meant she out-classed most other female performers of her era.

I fell in love with Sandie Shaw in 1964 as a seven year old school boy and adore her to this day. Although she did hit rock bottom in the 70's, she fought her way back and became successful in other areas. People forget just how huge she was in Europe, recording not only in English but also in French, German, Italian and Spanish. She was also shrewd enough to hang on to her copyright/publishing which means that she'll never lose all of her money and why I find the title of this short documentary sensationalist, irritating and inaccurate. Also being a true British star of the 60's, the American narration is a bit out of place...a true British 60's icon

Morrissey, the lead singer with the British band The Smiths, was a huge fan of Sandie Shaw, inviting her to play with his band right from the brilliant start of the band (1984). Morrissey looks genuinely mesmerized by Sandie's presence in one of The Smiths first videos, called Charlie's Bus, when Shaw comes from out of the blue at Kew Gardens, where Morrissey and other band's members are shooting a video. But later on Morrissey describes Sandie very differently, especially in his Autobiography. He said that he was talking with one of the record label's managers and the guy said that Sandie Shaw was asking for 55% of all royalties obtained through the selling of the two Smiths' songs she recorded, with the rest 45% to be shared with the other 4 members of the band. Morrissey asked the manager if she gave some explanation for the request and the manager replied: "Well, she said she needed the money".

I've interacted with Sandie on one or two occasions due to the strange coincidence that we share a home town, a birthday and went to the same school albeit 11 years apart. This video is a bit misleading. She may not be super rich but I doubt if she's one meal away from the workhouse either. Just a good, honest Dagenham girl who had a career in music and has now retired. Nothing to see here. Move along.

Ol' Big Feet is still going strong. Standing at around 5' 9" tall in her stockinged feet, she was very attractive, but tall for a lady in the 1960s (even tall nowadays, 60 years later).
