What’s the point in bringing in “addiction expert“? I know multiple people who died from fentanyl and none of them were addicted or even knew they were taking it. This obviously goes far beyond addiction and most drug users are recreational experimenters not addicts.

I’ve been addicted for 5 years now.. Crazy I haven’t ‘died’ - OD’d once but came back without help.. I’m 28 and weighed 105lbs at the time - I just quit coke but unfortunately upped my dose of ‘blues’.. Now I do 15 pills at a time almost every hour.. Well over 100 a day & this habit isn’t cheap.. If I had any help I’d take it.. I’m the only one left here in California of my family & they’re pretty much split up all around the country… I gave up but I’m ready to get back to living again without having to worry about a pill and withdrawing - I start my methadone treatment Friday again.. Wish me luck 🤞🏽 Any kind words, advice etc etc would be appreciated

It's the truth and sad too for the people who really need it but the doctors were doing what they were told by higher up and pharmaceutical companies just for a profit, then people started dying left n right so to calm the public they had to act like they were doing something about opioids in one way than in another letting fentanyl n herion come across the border with their hands out and acting like they don't know it, they know . They are in on it... we are in sad shape , after 911 I have no trust in any of these fools then after they cheated my kids n me from the election I know we are doomed. I'm tired of these outlets warning about drugs and addiction when our medical system continues to fail millions. People in actual pain are experienced a shortage of pills, while as drugs such as marijuana (which could help alleviate their symptoms) are being approved at a snail's pace. But it also goes beyond that. Many Americans are overworked, struggling with inflation, and overall *stressed.* You can't convince me that that's not apart of the problem as well.

Blaming opioids for the problem is like blaming the tree you ran into for wrecking your car. You are responsible for what goes into your body. What your going to do is get all pain medication grouped into one cause when it is fentanyl that is mostly responsible for the increase in deaths. As a chronic pain sufferer and not a candidate for surgery for correction and take my meds responsibly will suffer because all opioids will be banned because a growing number of deaths caused by illegal synthetic pain med from wherever is responsible, not doctor prescribed legal medication thats effective in allowing a person who suffers from chronic pain because of injury, to hold a job, have more movement than just walking to the bathroom or kitchen then back to bed. Watch yourself. Not all pain meds are exactly the same. Fentanyl in a surgical procedure can prevent a patient from waking up during a procedure. Alcohol can have just as great of numbers of fatalities if not used RESPONSIBLY.
