Nice, and that design could be adapted to make a "handle-less one for use with a drill I am thinking. Nice work, enjoyed!

An electric drill version is a good idea.

A bit of rubber hose butting up against a shoulder and with a washer at the other end will duplicate (in miniature) what is found on many sanders.

I just noticed how you hooked up your cyclone for the sand blaster. That's totally wrong. The top is what goes to the vac, the end that you have with a 90 going to the gray pvc, is supposed to go to the hose, or in this case the cabinet. You want to spin the debris so it goes to the bottom of the cyclone and then into the bucket. The spinning slows the material down so it drops out of the vacuum.

Thanks for taking the time to look at that. I have used it like this for years and thoght it was working ok because the bucket was collecting dust. I need to find more hose and make some adjustments in order to do what you suggest but I will give it a try. Maybe it is going to work much better. A friend gave the vac system to me so it never came with instructions.

@@MrModify you don't need a hose, you can plumb it with hard pipe, which is what I have, but your input should be into the one at a side, and your vac should go to the one above. Go lookup dust deputy or any of the other mini cyclones..

I Made the changes you suggested and tried it out. I does seem to be working much better. Thanks again.

Rather than a separate tapered piece to insert in a hole followed by a screw why not use a tapered pipe plug and a hole appropriately tapped to expand the end? A 1/16 or 1/8 tapered plug would likely be sized right.

Yes, I think that would work as well and might be easier to create.
