That was my initial reaction but my Peak Design tripod was $300 for the aluminum version. I think for someone looking for good build quality/smartphone functionality this Sandmarc tripod is in the midrange. There are a lot of cheaper alternatives but I'd rather invest in a higher built quality tool. Thanks for sharing your your perspective! I always appreciate your time!
