Sorry but NASCAR does have the scariest crashes of any motorsport.....there's really no comparison.....Not bragging, it's just true, and sadly we've lost a lot of lives, but because of their sacrifice....safety improvements have been invented for ALL of motorsport, because of Nascar.

@@sooshii8083 How so? Please enlighten me.
@sooshii80834 жыл бұрын
@@OoogaBoog The word of being the scariest crashes is subjective, I personally think MotoGP crashes are the scariest as they're being flung from their motorbikes. On the side of safety improvements I believe that GT and LM racing have done more to improvements of safety. (not saying NASCAR did nothing, they definitely did something) for example disk brakes were using in LeMans and other enduro races before they were put on manufacturer vehicles and other racing classes. Another example is the Hans Device, that was Invented after Patrick Jacquemart was killed in IMSA racing.
@OoogaBoog4 жыл бұрын
@@sooshii8083 IMSA racing wasn't the push for it, all of racing was. Hubbard was designing it before his brother in law (Patrick Jacquemart) was killed. That death gave him the push to complete his project and get a patent. Family ties did it, It wasn't IMSA. I'll give you that MotoGP is pretty deadly, but the fact that most NASCAR crashes usually involved 5-25 cars at a time makes it far more scary especially since they are averaging 190 mph on the bigger ovals, and being inches apart. But you're right, it is subjective. I just think I'm right :)

@davidsmith15756 жыл бұрын
I think they would prefer for the car to dive underneath as opposed to flipping over the tires and into the fence though.
@rodrigomartinelli7416 жыл бұрын
@@davidsmith1575 if the car dives *under* the tire belt, nothing absorbs the impact until the car hits the concrete wall.. wich defeats the purpose.. ideally the car stays in-between the tire layers..
@davidsmith15756 жыл бұрын
@@rodrigomartinelli741 right, I get that. But a car getting into the fence is possibly the single most violent thing you can do to a racecar. Those techno barriers would probably do a better job than tires I think.
