I love how today you didn't get giddy about the sandwich, you got giddy about how impressed you ended up being.

Why is Barry starting his videos by looking wistfully out of the window, feigning surprise before greeting you like an actor at the start of an afternoon soap opera or tv movie?

I don't know, but I'm personally not a fan of it. The old formula is better.

That is a really interesting way of handling lettuce for a sandwich. I'm not sure why we haven't seen more of that, it sounds like a good way to make iceberg have more dimension. Also, you're beginning to channel English Heritage's Mrs Crocombe with that "oh Hello!" at the beginning. MY GOD THAT"S THE COLLAB WE NEED!

So...a slightly dressed-up (pun intended) BLT with Swiss cheese. Yup, I'm in. I feel like the red onion plus up might step on the other flavors in the sandwich a bit, but you do you, sir. I see that subscriber count climbing! Keep up the good work!

Given how many vegetables are modified for a flavor boost, be it pickling, roasting, etc, it was certainly refreshing to see dressing-drenched lettuce used as an ingredient. The sandwich does certainly look tasty, keep up the great work, love these videos 👍

Just found your amazing channel. I have strong opinions about sandwiches (eg to count as a sandwich you should be able to pick it up with one hand and fit it in your mouth). I look forward to watching all your other videos. Thanks!

Thank you and welcome! Although, you will be severely disappointed in some of them. Just a heads up.

I agree about being able to fit a sandwich in your mouth. But am quite happy with an open-faced sandwich.

One of those instances where the finished sandwich is greater than the sum of its parts.

[MYTH]You mentioned the third layer of bread, but I always thought of club standing for cheese & lettuce under bacon and that was the order it would be assembled in.[/MYTH] Great +ups on this one! Makes for a classic sandwich. EDIT: Ignore the fake news. Thank you @englishatheart for the correction!

Nope, that's a myth. "Club" is literally just short for "clubhouse," where they were originally served.

Wonder if this was served at The Swiss Society of Cleveland Ohio (a fraternal organization for Swiss immigrants and those with that ancestry that was around from 1872) and that's where the name came from? As we know the writer is from Cleveland, and that city has a large Swiss community, I wonder if that's the "Swiss Connection" here?
