In six hours from now, one week after my prostate biopsy, I will ask my urologists to remove my prostate gland completely. No need fit it. The days of intense testosterone working have stopped for hormone driven creatures that we may have been.

Sandy dumping on all the naysayers. That's money in the bank to Tesla investors. The only downside is it can delay the share price rising. A few years ago all the 'experts' said Waymo was far more advanced than FSD. How many news articles were about some EV that was going to eat Tesla's lunch? Being a nerd and a Tesla investor, I bought a Model Y with FSD in 2020 and have been driving it. It was clear to me that Tesla had the smarter system. For years even Tesla owners, who hadn't bought FSD, didn't know much about it. (I was at a Tesla owners even in early 2021 where two guys were speculating on the things that needed to happen for FSD to work. Dedicated streets with no parked cars. These were Tesla owners. Another guy and me were just listening. We had FSD. He drove all the way up Mt Wilson using it. I was in more of a hurry. At first I agreed with Herbert that right after the election the rise in Tesla's share price might just be a 'sugar high.' That was $150 ago. This is more people and fund managers finding out that FSD 13 is so far ahead of everyone else it's game over. Tesla investors were there first. ) The movie Margin Call was about unloading a stock that was about to crash. Jeremy Irons character said there are only three ways to make money on Wall Street, "be first, be smarter or cheat." Cheating includes insider information. Retail Tesla investors are all three, except the 'cheating' isn't cheating, it's not going along with the ignorant herd. I did this with Apple in 2008. Seemed obvious to me the iPhone was going to dominate the world, and like other Apple products it'll be the best tech, be a luxury product sell at a premium price with great profit margins. I decided that I invest in the smartest companies. Sounded pretty good at the time. Apparently it worked, and still works. Sandy's thinking and tear downs is a big part of the best Tesla analysis. When he tore down the Model 3 and said "this is engineering at the speed of thought," after Tesla took something he said in a video and it was in Model 3s a month later. He mentioned that he'd been in charge of changes at Ford Motor Company and one year he couldn't get a single change implemented.

Now I see them every time I am out. "I'm old and I'm a complainer" now too. People are actually changing their thinking on EV's and the FUD. The joystick idea is great. Keep up the conversation. Thoughts and prayers. If Jeff Bezos actually commented, I would like to see both he and Elon shake hands and truly "mind meld" together for the betterment of humanity rather than being at odds. If we don't blow ourselves out of existence, I feel so fortunate to still be alive to see the fast change and potential for us all.

It is unlikely that the connectors for the 48 volt system have to be bigger for arcing reasons. Arcing only occurs during the plugging in period and will not occur once connection is made. The voltage required to cause arcing in dry air at sea level is 3 kV/mm (or 30 kV/cm). This works out at 16 thousands of a millimeter. Please correct me if I am wrong and missing something. Also the current needed at 48 volts is one quarter of that needed at 12 volts and the copper required is one quarter.

Full service charging station with robots doing the service. They could even have tethers so the robots are always charged. As for ford perhaps they need to make a hybrid F250 with a big diesel generator and a huge battery pack to haul heavy machinery to the job site, power the site and charge the F150 electric trucks etc. It need not be designed for having a lot in the back but needs to tow very well. The back could even be full of electrical distribution gear and enclosures for tools etc. instead of a complicated transmission you could just have 6 wheel drive. For charging it should be able to use semi charging and others as well. Once that is available very few people are going to tow heavy gear and implements long distances with electric F150 trucks unless someone is towing something heavier to the same place with one of these. You would then be using the battery any time you were not hauling long distances or running a job site for days at a time in the sticks.

Just imagine you have a electric tractor or a harvester, that does quietly performs its tasks and does not contaminate the soil with all time of poisonous compounds, byproducts of the internal combustion of diesel. Not to mention that you could charge them during daytime and operate them during the night. If they are not equipped with Tesla's agricultural equivalent of FSD!

I question if a joystick would work. I use a power wheelchair that uses a joystick and is capable of going 6 mpg. I don't trust myself even going that fast. If you hit a bump or pothole it jerks your hand and causes the joystick to move. I've found myself nearly crashing. I see a similar thing happening when using a car with a joystick.

Guys, while talking about Vtols, I believe we need to try a man powered flying once again! I counted about seven reasons why we were not successful so far. It's a difficult topic because once you start yapping about flying by waving your wings, you are becoming a nutcase in other people's eyes. I'm hoping that the guys in the wingsuits will get there one day, yet they don't try more than passively flying down the mountain. But when you think about it, there are so many unexplored factors: 1) there are gymnasts who can get up on rings by the strength of their hands. Similar to Archimedes law, you need to push the air under to fly. 2) they say that people lack about 50% of their strength to match the ratio that the birds use; yet there are bodybuilders who lift 300% more than untrained guys. 3) even if the body weight would be limiting, there are guys without legs who could overcome this hurdle and prove it is possible and teach us. 4) longterm adjustment - we can see how the human body adjusts their bone structure to the need, like astronauts in the orbit - the body of a trained person adjusts to the needs. 5) we don't need a completely self-propelled flight at the beginning, we can have a competition of who can lift the highest % of their body by flapping the wings - the only thing we need is a measuring scales fit for the purpose - it would be great fun to try such a competition I'm sure I could go on with more points. All this needs is someone who can try and is normal. All previous attempts failed because untrained and unprepared people went and jumped and of course killed themselves. The modern training methods can get us over. Also, Elon builds a robot with prosthetics on mind. All we need is a prosthesis with finger bones extensions. Training with gradually longer wings... etc.

Wall Street is short sighted as are politicians. The short sightedness of WS is a weakness of capitalism, in politics it's a weakness of democracy. Did Sandy mention that Tesla hasn't made any Robotaxis (other than a few non full function demos) and Tesla has yet to make 50,000 cybertrucks in a year? Ford made 150,000 F150 Lightnings the first year. Doesn't this boil down to a lot of hype about vehicles that barely exist? What happened to the new Tesla Roadster? How come they are not making the Model 3, Model Y and X and all the line with the 4680 battery as originally planned? I realize Sandy is just a paid dupe hype machine for Tesla but at what point are you just a big fat ass liar? If you want to say you are a consultant and obective; then you have to tell both sides of the facts - incuding all the negatives.

Please explain how Tesla have sold more Cybertrucks than all the other EV trucks combined.
@litestuffllc724919 күн бұрын
@@JohnSmith-x3y8h Obvioiusly Tesla has NOT sold more EV trucks - total Cybertruck production as of Dec 2024 is 48,500. As noted compared to the first year of F150 lightning alone Ford. Ford Actually made more than they sold. Evidently no one really wants EV trucks as Tesla somehow lost 2 million reservations they had for the Cybertruck. You can now buy one with no wait. F150 Lightning numbers alone are 2022 14,000, 2023 24,000 and 2024 - approx 45,000. Ford actually had over produced & paused production in 2024. Thus Ford Alone has sold about twice as many EV trucks as Tesla. Then you have the other makes. SO the only way Tesla could make that claim would have been during Ford's pause when Telsa may have sold more during a select month not the year or total production.

Sandy Monroe has sold out completely! Yes, the cyber truck and even the cyber taxi may have interesting engineering inside them. But they don’t work as whole packages. No one is buying the cyber truck anymore because it’s too big. It’s too heavy. It doesn’t really go off road And many other reasons make it a poor choice as a pick up truck. The cyber taxi seats, two people and depends on full self driving working. Full self driving still does not work after years of development and probably will never work, especially if Tesla continues to insist on only using simple cameras as sensing devices. When Sandy Monroe talks about the cyber truck or the cyber taxi or other Tesla vehicles, he is being distracting that in reality these vehicles are failures. What Sandy Monroe is saying is worse than worthless. The real question is, why did Sandy Monroe sell out to support Elon? How much money did they pay him to throw away all of his reputation?
@andrewashmore800020 күн бұрын
Indeed , it does seem that way. Money talks I guess. I think your wrong on the FSD though , it will work, and work very well. It will save Tesla. Cost is super important, hence only cameras. Have to succed on cost to win. All in , Sandy heart in the right place , he wants Tesla to win, and that's a good thing for America. I will only believe that full self driving works when it is turned over to an independent test organization That we can really trust and not one that is paid off like sending Monroe seems to be.

@ Cameras are much inferior to eyes and neural networks are much inferior to brains. I will not believe that full self driving actually works until an independent entity, actually conducts rigorous testing on it and publishes the test plans and the test results. If full self driving is so good, why hasn’t Tesla had this done yet? Why hasn’t Tesla turned it over to insurance companies for their testing? I think the simple answer is that full self driving does not work and as long as Tesla can keep promising that the next version of full self driving will be perfect and the stock price of Tesla keeps going up, I don’t think they will invest in any independent testing. Remember the stock market Maxim “buy on rumor sell on news“. As long as Tesla can keep promising that the very next version will be the one that finally succeeded (and there is no real news from an independent test), people will keep buying Tesla stock or at least that’s what they hope.
