A really fascinating video, I live in Yorkhill but was not aware that the Botanics were in the area before Kelvinside.

Thank you, I myself did not always know this but do exercises in thinking far back beforehand, and if you think "was Botanics always here" when you're at the Gardens you end up on an investigation journey... found the plaque which it's location is not documented anywhere so great opportunity to shed light and tell the pre history, glad that you enjoyed 👍

Great video - I have been interested in this topic for some time - You could be right about that being the original old entrance to the gardens alas i think its just been demolished to build another block of flats - Hey ho but at least you got a good picture of it before it went

Thank you 👍 I have wondered about that old entry boundary looking wall for a good long time... both walls' the one across from RBS and the one at Fitzroy Place, both quite unique and always stood out. Hopefully they don't denolish the wall next to scaffolding? I've hovered around the site looking at excavation details but never seen much, if they uncovered anything it would be interesting as its a deep excavation. Glad you appreciate 🙏🏻

They havent demolished it so far and the new flatsnext to it are nearly finnished so that good - just up the road at the park as you enter the walkway it looks to me for a very short part it could also be part of the original gardens as a few of the plants look rather interesting and out of place - like the remnants of i tiny bit of the garden they didnt bother moving - I will keep an eye out for anything else i can spot
