Isn’t she just magical! That face, that smile and that grace. I grew up listening to her songs as an expat kid kudos to my parents. Absolutely beautiful rendition and pronunciation of a timeless Punjabi folk classic. What I wouldn’t give to listen to her sing these gems live one more time ❤️ May she continue living a long healthy life!

Thanks for expressing your thoughts, which I wholeheartedly agree with, with such eloquence. About the singer - she has tremendous breath control. I have seen others singing this song, and they break up the lyrics. She sings it all in one go. Amazing.

Thank you so much for the kind words, Venkatesh Ji! We always hope our videos connect people and show what we have in common. Your analysis about Musarrat Ji's breath control is spot on. She's such a natural singer (though I'm sure she's worked very hard and practiced to reach where she is) and she is a gift to all of us! Thank you again for watching and for giving us your support!

Folk songs are folk because they don't have any particular lyricist. The originate from a collective. It got big popularity and set lyrics when Mussarrat Nazir sang it on the radio/TV. Other than that there are many versions of any folk song.
