I have a headcanon about Sanguinius and Corax… They had one mission together at a certain point late in the Great Crusade. Before the mission, Sanguinius revealed his legion’s condition to Corax. Perhaps he felt like he deserved to know, or perhaps he feared the consequences should the Ravenlord discover it on his own terms. Corax reassured Sanguinius that he and his sons were not monsters, but during the battle he kept his legion at a noticeable distance, and afterwards always found convenient excuses not to let the Ravenguard fight alongside the Blood Angels. Then after the Dropsite Massacre, Corax initiates the Raptor Project and is left with monsters of his own. When the scale of the calamity becomes clear to him, he resolves to seek out Sanguinius, not only for advice about how to manage his twisted sons, but also to apologize for his earlier coldness. But the heresy ends and Sanguinius is slain before they can reunite. And so Corax is robbed not only of a source of wise counsel, but also of the opportunity to make amends with a brother he never appreciated until it was too late.

I love the level of tragedy in this headcanon.

My headcanon is warmer. There isn't much lore regarding Corax's winged and long distanced jump pack. It's easily his most iconic piece of kit, yet we hear so little of it and so much of his whip, his least iconic. Head canon is Corvus was a good little brother and noticed no other brother was adequately protecting his Angelbro's six up in the air. Corvus went to work, because he was apparently no slouch of a craftsman.

I'd imagine that Sanguinius would have a more negative opinion of Mortarion than of Angron, simply because he would understand that Angron is NOT in control of himself the way all other Primarchs are. Motrarian doesn't have parts of his brain literally removed, and pain spikes implanted to replace it, so whatever Mortarion does he does with full control over his own faculties. Sanguinius would also be more likely to take a stance that Angron is doing exactly what the Emperor wants him to do - slaughter everything in his path - and would hold that more against the Emperor than Angron. I wouldn't even be surprised if Sanguinius was able to see more of the true Angron than other Primarchs due to his aura, as was mentioned - his presence relieving the Nails, some of the more compassionate, honourable, empathic parts of Angron are able to surface, etc. So Sanguinius see's what Angron could have been. (I'd also be unsurprised if this is why Angron doesn't like being compared to Sanguinus - in the presence of Sanguinius, Angron gets to feel who he should have been, and can never be, which would likely be a horrible feeling for Angron)

I believe to remember that Angron did describe how Sanguinius rage and wrath shamed his own. How it was more pure and directed. Obviously, that could have many origins. But considering Angrons impression here, I could see the rage as Sanguinius expression of the heresy at large. How it forced his hand against his brothers and how he had to fight a brother he... maybe not loved or admired, but upon whom he most probably had wished a better fate. Sanguinius feels like someone who'd see the best in Angron and hope, against all odds, that Angron might've persevered.

Regarding Sanguinius and Angron, in Virtues of the Sons, Sanguinius once said to Horus, “We could focus Angron and bring balance to Curze. Our limitations as fathers are doubly reflected in our failings as brothers.” From this, it is clear that he still cares about his brother. However, in Guy Haley’s Dante, during the process of transformation, Dante experiences Sanguinius's memories, one of which is particularly interesting: “He looked to his brother Angron, and feared what he might become. He turned away, but the anger never left him.” This perspective is quite thought-provoking, and similar expressions can be found in works by other authors. In ADB’s Echoes of Eternity, there is also a subtle description: after Amit and Kargos finished Sanguis Extremis, when the Angel came to see Amit, “The Angel, his wings furled tight to his body, seemed careful not to touch anything or anyone in the chamber. The only contact he made was with his own son.” Sanguinius did not show the same disgust as Raldoron, but his body language betrayed an extreme sense of detachment. My personal interpretation is that this is not because of hatred or revulsion, but rather out of fear. Angron is a mirror to Sanguinius, a raw reflection of how unrestrained bloodlust could affect someone of his primal nature. It is what he could become if he ever let himself go, and it is one of his true fears.

How did Sanguinius feel about Sanguinius?

He didn’t like him much. He thought that the gene-seed flaw within the blood angels was his fault. So he was kinda pissed about that. He also thought he had some… anger issues and a weird thirst for blood. Overall, it wasn’t a good relationship.

Corvus will definitely return if not briefly when Lorgar makes his move , considering he wants to be all and end all , when it comes to being the deep, rich ,honeyed voiced champion of chaos undivided , he could be blessed by the entire Pantheon possibly becoming the most dangerous , I could see Lorgars very aura turning the masses , picture a public speaker with the ability to control with a mear word . He has the power of oratory, like the serpent in the garden , a mear suggestion leading to damnation . With Fulgrim returning it's going to be amazing . Ol purty and vulkan would make a good combo , "forge fire series " heheh . Idk about abbadon until he and vashtur's story concludes but could always be blended into whatever they want , I feel a 5th chaos God is inbound , but it becomes a duel between he and malice , or I wish it would . I have been so glad since they moved the story since the psychic awakening campaign , I'm always excited to see what's next so I hyper suggest and speculate . I can't wait for the eldar story to finally be continued , Votaan the whole lot . So I await patiently , that's what makes these channels so great .

If only The Emperor wasn't so pressed for time. He pretty much with largely the exception of Horus Lupercal, had all the other primarchs immediately set on the course of The Great Crusade. Each too busy to get to know each other well or at all.
@LordGrantius27 күн бұрын
This can be a bit of a misunderstanding. If i recall correctly, Perturabo spent decades studying on Terra - apparently long enough to learn that his legion had not lived up to expectations, but not long enough for the Emperor to understand how Perturabo thought. That, or the Emperor really did not care
@j.mangum765227 күн бұрын
@@LordGrantius I failed in my statement about most the primarchs being found, given welcome aboards and handshakes to here's your boys and ships now find me moar worlds from The Emperor because I did draw on that exact thing pretty much happening with Angron as The Emperor saw what had been done to Angron and that there was nothing he could do for him or like you said about The Emperor caring, have the time and to help him. I recognize I failed to take that into account because The Emperor had Malcador to brief most of the primarchs on their duties. I wish Big E made some sort of amends with Angron. For example, with the exception of the slaves and children turn every man and woman on Angron's home planet into servators with their consciences intact.
@LordGrantius26 күн бұрын
@j.mangum7652 it's weird that this was never retconned. Surely the Emperor must have known that Angron would have been shamed. Surely the Emperor could have taken all of Angrons fellow warriors. Surely the Emperor could have backed them up with the Custodes. Its almost as though the Emperor deliberately made the worst possible decision. After Molech, the Emperor mind wiped three or four primarchs. Couldn't He do that for Angron? It's a bit of a plot hole that only serves to make the Emperor look foolish and give justification for Angrons rage
@j.mangum765226 күн бұрын
@@LordGrantius That's the rub @LordGrantius. There's more than a few examples in the lore that shows Big E making something happen that was doomed to fail. Choosing Horus to take the reigns of leading The Great Crusade with the curiously deliberate title of"War Master"is ofc a big example. But it was...perfect in that Horus was not somebody out of place to lead The Crusade. Mostly everybody liked or looked up to Horus. Imo the lead position could have been foisted onto possibly two others. Sanguineous or Robute. But The Emperor chose Lupercal. On purpose. Did The Emperor intend to fail(so he could succeed)has been an ever present question in this community for a long time with no definite answers.

Im interested to know how the primarchs felt about adoptive parents of there brothers. Luther was respected by the legion despite not being a space marine. But how would other legions and primarchs treat him?
@RevolverRho26 күн бұрын
There isn’t a lot of information about that. We know for a fact that Curse tried to kill Tarasha Eutan, Guillimans mother and basically said ‘no hard feelings, but I have to skin you alive and hang your corpse where blue can see’. Guilliman and basically everyone hated Kor Phaeron, Luther was well respected as a first captain and adoptive father. Other than that, most of the other primarchs either didn’t have those relationships or we don’t have that information.

To be completely fair to Mortarian, there are several instances of of brutality and mercilessness from the Sanguinius and the Blood Angels. Galaspar was an extreme example of a compliance against a regime so utterly and extremely tyrannical that it made the combination of Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, Khamir Rouge Cambodia, and Ingsoc from the novel 1984 look like a quaint joke. The Death Guard explicitly spared all those who had been oppressed that didn’t take up arms and fight and only turned their guns on those who tried to or were forced fight to preserve The Order. He refused to give quarter due entirely to the extremity of the tyrannical nature of the Order because it would come back sooner or later. The people he saved thanked him. His legion was never one to stay and prop up a people rendered compliant, that was for those who would come after. His goal was to bring compliance then move on.

Wasn't it in fear to tread that we got a glimpse of the angle and alpha working together against orcs? How can a lore channel go from talking about actual characters and their niche storylines to “insert primarch video/ insert primarchs thoughts,opinions,favorite flavor of ice cream!?!”. It’s almost like there are other things to enjoy about the stories than dead characters in one faction.
