I like to think at the end, Sanguinius found himself walking down a beach. At that moment Ferrus looks up from the boat he’s working on, they both smile at each other, and the camera pans out.

Ferrus and Sanguinius are my favorite primarchs and thier legions aswell and I think that it makes sense how they would like eachother. I hope the blood angles and iron hands fight together at some point in the current setting and also I'm the great crusade.

And this leads to the tragic conclusion: "Worldbreaker catches him before he is even back on his knees. The clubbing blow breaks his left shoulder, ribs and left femur. He collapses, trying not to scream from the pain, and failing. Horus starts to bludgeon him, beating him repeatedly like a disobedient dog."

It makes me wonder whether the souls of the dead Primarches have been drawn to Sanguinius without him realising it, because of his own psychic ability and Horus weakening the bonds between reality. In where Angel's fear to tread Sanguinius literally wills his flagship to survive a head on collision with a plant. There might be a video in looking into the pychic powers of primarches as only Magnus and later Logar really embraced them.
@colt23122 күн бұрын
Does this suggest the lost primarchs aren't dead, otherwise they would have been in the screams with ferus, causing a similar pychic back lash as horus when he co fronted malcador? So then they are either destroyed utterly or in the dark cells like the custodes codex hints at.

Based on the last thing Big E said to Horus, not even he is not dead. Or not completely. They are made with a combination of super science and space magic. Could be they can all come back, but Vulcan just does it faster and more often than everyone else.

I like how Ferris was calling Sanguinius out on his crap of basically wanting to go off and fight a battle he knew full well he wasn't going to win. We need more of him and the Iron Hands leigon/chapter in current stuff. The writers did a excellent job leaving this open to interpretation but it was heavily implied that the Angel went off to die because that's all his foresight was showing him. He never once questioned it or even revealed it to the Emperor when he got up off the throne. Pretty much screams a selfish death more than a honorable sacrifice for the Emperor's final duel as the original lore made it out to be. They said years and years ago they were going to re-write this scene from the original fluff, they actually succeeded.
@ghostsniper5032 күн бұрын
But wouldn't he have done it because he thought he could change the outcome? I mean, they were just visions. Maybe he went in thinking he could change that future. Didn't he say in another story that he saw many futures, but that was the best outcome?
@TKUltra9712 күн бұрын
@@ghostsniper503 the whole story of foresight was the biggest theme of the HH, its what got them all into this trouble in the first place. Sang's precog ability was very powerful as its been said more than once his soul existed in the present and the future at the same time. What he saw was slowly driving him crazy. In fact, he stated more than once to himself and hinted to his sons that he was going to die. He already resigned himself to end like that. He's a precog in the way he can see and predict unpredicatble leaps in the future but not seeing like an eldar farseer. A farseerer like you stated can see possible outcomes of events, and even then its not 100%

No, the reason was said in the novel and it was pretty explicit, he knew he was going to died to Horus, so if he didn't died at that moment it would mean that horus survived the fight against the emperor, so he needed to make sure to died before the battle between Horus and the emperor so that still were a chance his father could win.
@TKUltra9712 күн бұрын
@@AthosJosue Yeah that's wrong and can be countered with his dialog. It's not explict saying what the outcome would be because for several years at that point, all he knew was that he would die when meeting his brother. NOT how it would affect the emperor's confrontation. It's in between the lines, he didn't lay down his life for the emperor nor was the "chnk in horus" armor. You can take parts from the unremembered empire, to him finally arriving at Terra, the Seige of Tera mini series to TE&TD's POVs. He died for himself as his fathers dreams were dead. How can you protect someone when you get steam rolled long before the person you're protecting even arrived on scene?

How is he a Mary Sue? He lost that fight? He lost against Kabanda, and came back and beat him. He was tempted by a Slaneesh demon to save his sons and was only saved by one of them sacrificing himself. He hid things from the Emperor from the shame and guilt of his son’s gene flaws. He has flaws; he admits to them. He loses fights, and learned from them.

Either you have no clue what a Mary Sue is or you don't know Sanguinius. A Mary Sue does not have insecurities. Sangy does. A Mary Sue fixes their allies and friends of any flaws/shortcomings. Sangy couldn't help his sons, infact he made it worse for them. A Mary Sue's flaws are actually strengths. All Primarchs have flaws, some way worse than others and Sangy is no exception, and none of them are strengths. Sanguinius was one of the greatest Primarchs but he wasn't best at everything. Vulcan, Manus and Angron were physically stronger. Magnus was a greater psyker. Lion and Curze were arguably better dualists. Horus and Fulgrim were more charismatic. Vulkan was more empathetic. Guilliman and Dorn were better strategists etc etc. A Mary Sue?

Lame. Went way to far. The primarch story gets worse the longer they try to over do every aspect of it. It turned into nothing but primarch worship by the writers and readers. No thanks, they were soldiers not perfection. Absolute trash at this point, the mystery was better than the cheesy retcon story.
