Don't you think that people should actually read the manual provided by the software manufacturers? That would save them a lottt of time...

You'll get a lot from the manual, but I find that trying things and making mistakes and learning from them, is the biggest reward. Doing is better than reading. I think. My humble opinion. That's why this video is more about doing, not just technical learning.

Finally, a tutorial that’s simple and direct. I was getting so tired of seeing “beginner” videos that try to teach you all of Ableton in 30 minutes and which are understandable only by people with extensive experience. This one gives you the confidence of having learned just a handful of basics upon which you can build. This is the way every beginner tutorial should be constructed. I look forward eagerly to follow-up lessons having the same type of narration and limited subject matter.

See this is sadly funny there’s so many people out there that are teachers but I’ve heard one thing in teaching all the years I have is that just because you’re a teacher it doesn’t Mean that you teach well, in other words being able to get across to anybody or almost everybody all the time that is the absolute art and Sanjay, you’ve got it down my brother. This is why his videos are so good because “he knows how to teach“ it’s not just experience how many years you’ve done it but it’s how you do it how you approach how you listen to your students comments. How do you decide what goes online. Thank you so much again

this tutorial just got straight into the nitty gritty in a simple but concise manner that was easy to understand and extremely inspiring. I think it was cool to set the bpm at 80 because it just slowed the flow and made it all so cool and easy on the learning curve. hearing the vibes, mixing, arranging and exporting so early was fantastic. heck, at the end point some other tutorials around the web are still waffling on about their style of teaching and the interface so all kudos Sanjay, this was extremely easy to follow for my "cluttered mind" all due to your slick presentation. thank you, have a fabulous day 😎

I have had Ableton in my computer for several years and I have had the fear of Ableton because I don’t like reading manuals there it’s I just didn’t learn well when I was a kid how to learn and so I have to do it over and over again so I’m pretty familiar with Ableton after jumping in and using it and just not reading anything but I still have been looking for a tutorial that will spell things out for me and I really love your teaching. I am a teacher so I identified with you right away you say everything very clearly and it makes a lot of sense and what I have learned by just getting in there opening it up and not looking at instructions or anything I already have to learn more just watching your video. Thank you so much this will help me get rid of the fear I need to use the thing. Thank you so much

. So, I have a learning disability, as well as ADHD, and let me tell you -- the sheer RELIEF I felt after finding this video was unreal. Almost every other DAW tutorial I've watched thus far has been at least minimally frustrating and tricky to follow, and I always have to replay each segment like 5 times to actually absorb any of the information. (this is obviously not necessarily the fault of the creators of these tutorials, since DAWS seem like they could be pretty hard to explain and I can't imagine doing so clearly and effectively would be easy!) But this... was *amazing.* You speak and enunciate clearly and slowly enough that my brain has time to process everything, yet not so slowly that I get bored, or feel condescended to. More importantly, you verbally ~emphasize~ and accent the most important words in a way that helps my brain recognize and keep track of the most important concepts. The visual emphasis and zoom-in on the parts of the interface you talk about also help with this. Also, there's very little "filler" to distract or bore my brain and you get straight to the point! You have a rare and greatly appreciated skill as an online speaker/teacher. So, so glad I found this channel! Thank you so much!! Excited to watch more:)

I always have a conceptual problem getting into something new. I see all of the things I could be doing, but not what I should do. As simple as this video is, I now "get it". It's just enough of a conceptual framework that I think I'll be able to add new features and tools in on the fly. This was invaluable!

One upside about starting composing in MPC Beats is that after that nightmare of a DAW Ableton seems like the most friendly and intuitive programa I have ever seen in my life. Definitely I will be sticking with Ableton.

This is Absolutely THE BEST Ableton Beginner Tutorial out there. I've seen literally dozens & they ALL lost me at some point by wasting time over explaining the obvious and skipping over the essential. This does neither. It's PRECISE, SIMPLE TO FOLLOW & PERFECT in every way for a Beginner to IMMEDIATELY start making music. Thank You, Finally I understand how it all fits together. It's been like trying to learn Calculus without understanding What it is & Why you need it first. All the very best. Ableton should be paying you a fortune. This is absolutely priceless. Kind regards, Simon.

The thing about the author of these videos is that he's professional, speaks good proper english and the content is organized. It's frustrating with other contributors who post a flashy title and the content ends up being a want-to-be rap video or lifestyle presentation - this is not Tik-Tok or Instagram. Thank you Sanjay C for the effort you place to create quality tutorial content

Oh wow! I am just about to start music production with my brand new equipment and didn't have a clue how to start with Ableton Live. Saw many videos, couldn't understand much and started to think if this was really my thing. But then, I saw your video thumbnail, remembered how I watched your videos to decide on which equipment to buy and BAM! Ableton suddenly seems so doable right now. Can't thank you enough. Will be creating my first music clip tomorrow itself as it's already 2AM here lol. Thank you so much Sanjay!

I am just about to begin my recording + producing journey and have been watching many videos on Ableton Live, Pro Tools, etc. for a while. Some make sense, others get me lost, and a few keep you engaged. You, my good sir, in 15 minutes, have made a very short, amazing, insightful tutorial video that explained A LOT of features but was not overwhelming. I did not get lost or felt as if I needed to pause and rewind to understand what was going on. I hope you make kind of a small course, or continue adding more tutorial videos, so you can educate a lot of people, including myself, while making things light, engaging, and stress free. Thank you and God bless!
