I believe mind reading may exist. Mentalism may seem impossible, but our human mind sometimes sync with our closest people (mostly family members) This is due to the subconscious knowledge of their thinking patterns. But to see the others thoughts completely that person must be capable of reading the brain activity occurring throughout the thinking process (which is quite possible using technology) I personally think that’s the human mind is capable to function as a mind reader if we’re able to reach a certain level of control of mind and thoughts (human mind capabilities are much beyond our comprehension, but not those telepathic bullshit though)

Impossible as it may seem, I believe that there might be something out there. For example, my wife did something when she was young, and apparently stopped doing it, that she noticed that if she thought of someone into the future, if she could visualize that someone in the future, let's say a year from now, for example, that person would still be alive by then, but if she couldn't visualize that someone, that someone would die by then. Coincidence or not, she got affraid of doing that because it happened several times with bad results, meaning that she some sort of foreseen someone's future and she didn't liked that feeling. Then again, it could all be a major coincidence...

I dont belive in "mind reading" as that is close to imposibile but we can read microexpresions to see if its true or somethin like that and about telepathy there is no scientefic reasoning of if this is realy true and that can not be posible without some sorta cracy machine. i dont believe in telepahy but in mentalism using microexpresion reading priming etc .. i do believe as ive tried and it works and it also has a scientefic explanation So ya thats it (imagine me winning this giveaway now )

Hey Jay - Mentalism is my favorita type of magic. The whole surprise and shock of having that person think that you have the ability to read their mind is insane and that's why I love it. My reactions as a kid and even now when watching you or other magicians/mentalists do your mentalism tricks is priceless and just being able to have those reactions when I do them is awesome. To answer your question, yes, I do feel that there may a few people in this world that are able to do mentalism. Would I call it special powers? I believe people who don't learn magic tricks are able to read each other's minds. Having a close enough bond with someone, and knowing them well enough can make you start to just know what they're thinking. Once I was at a museum with a friend and his older brother, and his brother was able to predict the exact thing he was about to say, which made me really start to believe.

I remember when I was much younger I was watching a street magician and they picked me as a volunteer and did the most amazing mentalism trick! I remember it so clearly and unbelievably that was actually this force that you taught on this video! I’ve been searching for how they did the trick ever since (and now I’ve found it!). I like this! It's ballsy but seems to work. One possible alternative to just naming the card... Have a deck in front of you; out of camera view and face up with cards in order. When they are showing you their cards, grab the matching card and then reveal it when appropriate. You could also place a card back side out in view at the start of trick as your prediction. Then swap it with their card at some point (perhaps swing it briefly out of view and do the swap).

Breaking this down... telekinesis is the principle that some form of power of the mind can move objects without physical contact. If we consider this from a few points we will mostly conclude that telekinesis is not possible... 1. Another form of movement is magnetism or paramagnetism, which is either metallic objects that are attracted or repelled from each other or other objects that temporarily gain the effects of magnetism. We do have iron in our blood so theorically we could produce the effect of magnetism but there is certainly not enough iron to produce a great effect of movement on an object. This however would fall under a force of energy created by the body and not the mind if we could produce movement in this manner. 2. Briefly discussing the effect mass has on other objects such as gravity or low density can act as if weightless. Either way both attributes are determined by size or by components of the body. Next we have esp or having a sixth sense such as mind reading or telling the future. In regards to mind reading, yes with enough practice and again understanding body movement and reactions can attribute to potentially having insight into a person's thoughts but in terms of hearing their thoughts, if we were to consider the possibility that thoughts occupied a certain frequency then perhaps we could develop a technology that allowed us to hear these thoughts and perhaps could evolve to the point we could hear them but at present neither has been established. Now we come to the only one that to me has validity... telling the future. Why do I think this is possible... simple. We all have the power of imagination which means that we can perceive multiple outcomes and with enough experience and with a little research and possibly some luck mixed in we could describe an event that may happen thus telling the future. Considering a "supernatural" ability then one could hypothesize that dreams could possibly be our brain trying to sort out these multiple possibilities. I also believe this ties into the ability of deja vu. In conclusion if telling the future is possible then it would be very random and only confirmed after the event is concluded therefore almost useless. If I were to put all of these on a scale 1-5 where 1 is best and 5 is worst then here are the results. Telekinesis 4- whereas it is possible to generate force on an object without physically touching it is unlikely this force is exerted by your mind. Mind reading 2- Understanding psychology and statistics you can have about 80% accuracy 50% of the time. (completely made up numbers) In other words, a pretty good guess. Telling the Future 1 then 5- 1 because it may be possible but 5 because knowing exactly when the toast comes out of the toaster to get that perfect temperature while spreading the butter is not a superpower if you didn't know that that same toaster would explode before you could enjoy the toast. That wouldn’t fit my personal definition because even a master at reading body language wouldn’t be right 100% if the time. Someone who literally could read minds would know for sure what you are thinking at any moment. But that’s my definition.

I done this trick for my teenage daughter. I used 2 decks and let her choose a pack shuffled the top card of her deck to the top of mine. Got her to do the cut as shown on this vid. For the reveal we turned the top card at the same time. Her draw dropped. Brilliant! Now although there is some ancacdotal evidence for mentalism in my life. Eg. I know someone is going to pull out in front of me while im driving. Or I know someone is bluffing at poker. I would say there is no such thing as mentalism

I definitely believe in mentalism. I know this sounds crazy but ever since I was little I was able to to predict something small. Like in school assemblies when they were handing out certificates I would stare at a person in the audience and then they were picked to get the award or something like that. And the best was when u was able to predict what was for lunch at school! I don’t know whether this is me changing it or if I just know what will happen!

Hi Jay. I am certain that people know when something is happening to another. My twin aunts knew if anything good or bad was happening to the other even when they were miles apart, whether this is mentalism or something else I don't know. Also on a Spiritual level, I have been told things that only I could have known. The thing is with mentalism as a stage act I guess that is mostly a trick, although I imagine the mentalist can get lucky, or in some intuitive way get it right. Best wishes from Scotland.

While I never say never, I do not believe that "telepathy" beyond body-language cues actually exists, and telekinesis has never been demonstrated under any sort of strictly controlled conditions. That is part of what makes these types of magic tricks so fun for an audience!

I think reading minds exist. When I am at work, my co-worker and I will be talking and all the sudden I see an impression/photo of what they are thinking. This has also happened to them. Many times I will be just thinking about something I am about to say and they will look at as if I said it already. This also happens with my spouse and I. I will be telling a story about what we did while they are not at the house. Lets say 5 minutes later, my spouse gets home and within 5 minutes: They repeat the same story I just told. !!

I believe it exists to be able to read minds. When people spend enough time together you eventually take on their likes and dislikes so you will end up with a 50/50 chance of reading the mind. Some people also have noticeable tells so you can guess what they are thinking

Yes it absolutely exists. Its all about predicting stuff, and if you can predict things that others can't: bippediboppediboo MAGIC! In the 19th century some people did math and used newtonian physics to predict the exact position of a celestial body that had never been seen before. And bippediboppediboo Uranus was discoverd. All you need is acces to data that is unavailable to others and you can perform predictions that, if left unexplained, will seem like magic.

Well it exists but definitely not how the normal person / the world perceives it to be it can be as a strong feeling that we have or maybe a thing that we feel is somehow going to happen and it really does happen , sometimes. So I think everyone in their life has gone through a point where he/ she might , experience a certain feeling about an event that actually happened as the person pictured it to be. So yeah it does kind of exist but we cannot really use it for demonstration of telepathy or intuition or telekinesis . It exists just as very strong feeling about an event in one's life

Far from me to correct Jay Sankey, but this is actually Ed Balducci's 'Cut Deeper Force'. The Christ Force is similar but uses a gaff. I believe the Christ Force was the inspiration for the Cut Deeper Force, so the lineage is there. :)

Yes, if you consider the perceived effect of a well performed mentalism. I am totally aware that mind reading is not actually possible in the form that it is advised by quacks and weird religions gurus, and that something close to it can be performed with bio electrical equipment to assist people with heavy physical impairments. But I still remember the awesome feeling of astonished disbelief after someone read my mind with a successful trick. I don't believe in magic but I like to experience it.

You could screenshot the first few cards that are shown then at the end let them choose the first upside down card or second or third. Then they look at it. Then you milk it a bit and then tell them what card they are thinking of. That extra choice 1,2,3 will have them even more puzzled.

I think it's possible. I was reading a learning book, with my 3 year old son. There was a question the answer was 3. He named the 3. I ask him if he can write it. He said yes, what surprise me. In the moment he wrote I saw a picture of a written 3 in my mind. And he wrote exactly how I saw it. I was very astonished about what happened. It was not the only situation, that something like that happens between us.

I think that mentalism exists but in a more realistic perspective rather than a supernatural one. If you spend enough time with someone you end up learning their behaviors and with that knowledge I think it is possible to predict their actions or thoughts with a decently small margin of error.
