First thing is you should be able to knock your arrow and drop it straight thru the top of the rest. Second, your draw is an inch or two too short. Third, you should be able to adjust your fletching by simply knocking the arrow and twisting the arrow to where you want it.. Also, if you shoot with your grip hand open, you will help prevent you from torturing the bow, causing you side to side off. And yes you could take two or three inches off them arrows.

For a hundred and fifty dollars you can go wrong with it. I bought one for my wife to see if she like the sport and all I have to do was switch the rest and stabilizer! Oh and for sure new arrows…
