I'm a long time bow hunter, and every year I watch prices go up and up. It's not that I can't afford the flagship bows, I can, but I frankly resent having to pay these absurd prices, and I'm not going to. These Sanlida Dragon 10's are getting great reviews. So, I'm buying one and if I don't like it I'll send it back

Like it or not sanlida is a solid bow company. They've been making bows the last 20 plus years and in my opinion have proven to be legit. Believe it or not sanlida does have $1500 - $2500 bows and the quality really is hard to beat

Have the dragon X9, just purchased this X10. I can tell you that the actual Sanlida bows are solid, you just have to upgrade certain accessories (which you'll do with any setup). I'm excited about this X10!

I bought the dragon x8 a couple of years ago for my wife to get into archery. She never got into bow hunting so I set it for me and absolutely loved shooting it. I made a few upgrades with new arrows drop away rest sight and stabilizer. I have a older hoyt that had a harsh draw. The dragon x8 was so smooth and light the hoyt was put back under the bed. Enjoyed the review, keep up the good work

I agree! If American bow makers want to be competitive, they need more of a mid-market bow for us working people. Why are bows only 'budget' or 'flagship'? Not everyone wants to spend $1,200+ for a bow to drag through wet bush, and up and down a tree stand.

I am upgrading to the Dragon 10 for the 2024 season. I have the Dragon x8 currently. It is a fabulous bow. You should definitely try to review the x8 or x9. I would definitely love to hear your expert advice on either of those bows also. Thanks. Keep up the great videos! Also they make 2 cams for that bow. One is 27-30 draw and the other is for 30-32 inch draw.

Totally agree 100% with your entire review! I just received the Dragon 10, 50-60, 27"-30" same color (only color available in my preferred weight range). My current setup revolves around the Bear Execute EKO 32" so that's what I'm comparing it to. This bow is as dead in the hand. The draw cycle is smooth and rock solid back wall but I do get the feeling that it "wants to go" and you can feel it. Any relaxing and it'll jerk. What I noticed immediately is how easily I was able to get on target. I have target panic, so much so that I compensate with a 6 O'clock zero (yeah, I know...) but it works for me. At full draw my pin is where I'm looking, not something that's easy to come by. Going to stop by the LAS after work this afternoon for a "proper" setup. I honestly (so far) like this better than my Execute......time will tell.

As a traditional Bowhunter I own a few custom bows, so I tried a longbow called old Mountain Mesa from Three rivers archery it to is made overseas, I loved the bow so much I now have two of them. If the archery companies here in America don’t do something about their stupid high prices their going to pay a price in the end. If you go and buy a high end compound bow with all the goodies to go with it your going to be around the 2,500 to 3,000 dollar mark. That is insane

I have the Dragon x8, it's a fine bow & it's super quiet and shoots very accurately. I cant speak for the dragon 10 but only the riser is made in 🇨🇳, everything else is 🇺🇲made on the x8. My kids bought it for me for father's day, it got me into bow hunting because it came with everything plus 12 arrows for $199. I've upgraded the quiver and arrows. I wouldn't have let the kids spend more for a hobby I wasn't sure I'd like. Another plus I can adjust draw length & pull weight here without a bow press. $199 got me in the woods hunting from October 1st to January 15th. I got zero complaints

Hey good thing about that is they list all their cable and string lengths on their site almost like they know your gonna need some heh......take the LIFT one big selling point this year is the Match strings, which means people paid all that money for the Phase 4 last year and immediately were upgrading their strings adding another 150 to the price... Makes me wonder will it perform even better once your wear out this first set and put good aftermarket on...

@@WolfinWolvesClothing713 The people who are interested usually come to our local archery club or a bow shop that a friend of mine owns, so you can see if they are really willing to learn something. Then, I just check if they have any experience with archery at all, like traditional or something, and let them sign a little contract that they can't sue me for injuries from just being silly with the bow and doing shit. It's also a good idea to use equipment that is simple and not much can go wrong: a simple wrist strap release, whisker biscuit rest, sight with one pin, and so on. Make sure they understand how the stuff works before they shoot. And then just teach them step by step, making sure they do it right from the start. A common problem, for example, is people trying to draw with the finger on the trigger. By keeping it simple and teaching in small steps, I've never really had any problems so far.

@BackyardBows I'm the one that requested and I draw 31.5 which is why I know...LOL.... Also in my research sometimes you need a cable twist to get the true 70lb it often falls just under around 68.x or should I say ive seen cases.... As a previous Hoyt shooter as SOON as I seen it I thought Hoyt heh.... Thanks SO much, I think after your endorsement, I'll make my new years resolution to pick up archery again ( and teach to my grandson) and do it using this bow with the money I save on a bare bow vs an Alpha 33 or Rx8 or Lift 33...I'll buy a better rest and sight ( which sanlida does make a dial sight now ), offset stabilizer for front and rear...and still be all in 800.... I know your shoulder is kinda sensitive, I remember reviews where your like nope not even gonna try that on a 60 second hold I'm done, it's real easy to tell if a draw cycle is harsh on your videos lol...if it's harsh you aren't having it ( oddly those bows are often 4x the cost )...THATS what I was waiting on.....if you enjoyed it I know I can't be wasting my money and it's easier to risk 440 to get back going than 2000 especially if my body doesnt hold up...ill order mine in wilderness... Really appreciate ALL content and what a great Christmas present...there were flagships that were louder as well.... That tech score I'm sure is fair I mean no IMS or rails ect, you DO have to know your draw within reason because it's not a module it's the entire cam if your over 30"...but I hadn't caught the tie in for the drop away which I'll be using.... WE watch you draw bows and this one looks looks nasty at full draw so looks are there they REALLY needed a fade like Wilderness fade to black ect... Hope you have a great Christmas and happy new year.... I know it sucks I'm a proud American too, but the limbs are made here, and it's gonna take people buying bows like this with top notch accessories shooting well and harvesting to get the flagship bow makers back in control because they are OFF the chain...there is NO way a LIFT or Alpha33 cost 4-5x more than this bow to manufacture especially when there is no import and shipping, the profit margin must be insane....if they disagree open them books...ok then.....

I have zero against Bear personally, EXCEPT making that Pro Shop only bow with the exact features us prosumers would want forcing us to interact with them to get it ( and them make their profit)... But appearance is a thing like Brandon has said, and like this review said customers thought Hoyt released a new bow......I'm old and looks still matter even when I know they shouldn't lol.....this thing LOOKS like a flag ship especially when it's decked out with front and rear stabilizers, a drop away rest and dial to shoot sight ect.... I wanted pick this up after seeing your review on it. Keep in mind I still have my first bow from a couple years ago, my Bear Legit. And I do plan on purchasing a flagship in a year or so. I’m leaning towards the PSE Mach 30. It’s hard being a lefty because the shops in my town have very limited options for left handed people, usually no more than 1-2 bows, maybe 1 left handed drop away rest on the wall too. Depending on the day not even 1 left handed bow on the wall. Sadly I’m left to reviews when doing my shopping but luckily we have channels like yours on KZbin. I’d love to have this bow in my lineup alongside my Bear Legit and my future flagship. If you have any contact with Sanlida tell them to hook up the south paws with this one lol

I definitely agree there needs to be something nice in the lower price range. I just have a hard time believing it costs well over twice as much to produce a bow now as it did just 6-7 years ago. I have an Elite omnia from 2017 that I got brand new for less than $500. Any top end bow is starting at $1200 now, right? Doesn’t seem like THAT much more tech and quality to over double the price. I truly think it’s just because people will pay it now…

I bet with a decent set of strings it would be even better. I'm glad to see this. Seriously tired of the price gouging. Personally I only look at flag ship bows the following fall when they drop 40% in value. Bow resale is horrendous.

Yea its not that the Dragon is costing 4.5x less due to child labor, the industry is absolutely getting price gouged to tell it might cost them 20% more to make not 450% more...also the proshops probably make 30% too

Stuck comparing this and the diamond edge 320,ive only ever used hand me down bears and bowtechs.i bought a bear limitless awhile back and i found out i dont like the micros.now the edge 320 is 32 axle to axle and the dragon x10 is 33.5 and there both around the same price,im just curious if that 1.5 inch is going to matter alot and if i should just stick with a bowtech bow,i know not to be a fanboy when it comes to these things but i know bowtech and diamond and shot both,this company ive never heard of.would love to see a comparison between this and some other brand name similarly priced bows or even just ones of similar axle to axle

It's a lot closer than a lot of flag ships which almost all have been rated 20 over what they will actually shoot
@ShawnGilbert1967
@ShawnGilbert1967 Жыл бұрын
It actually shoots 349 at 32" and 68lbs... It shoots 333 w 350gr arrow at 30" draw and only 68.5lbs...twist the cables get that to true 70 and she is right on the money but I don't think I seen 1 flag ship get within single digits of their rating this year lol....at 4.5x cost....

I've watched some videos of the x9. I'm curious if you reviewed it, what you would think. Seems a lot of the reviews complain about the arrow rest interfering with the fletch of the supplied arrows then they complain about accuracy. They switch arrows and still complain about accuracy. My thought is switch out the rest for something affordable and then try it out. I'm also curious about your thoughts on one bow going from very short draw length all the way up to 31 or 32 inches. Your review of the dragon 10 was THE most in depth and thorough I've seen. Looking forward to checking out more of your vids.

Thanks for the review! I don't think it's for me, but good review. A couple of US made options that are affordable, are the lower end Obsessions and High Country Archery. Neither seem to get much attention but they look solid and seem to be trying to get back into the game. I would love to see reviews on them if you get chance. I'm sure they would like to get their product reviews out there.

From experience, it is really good. I was just getting into it with a Sanlida x8 and I shot an arrow that was way too light and bent my cams. Sanlida sent me new cams free of charge. You have to buy then from amazon or sanlida to have a warranty though
