Hi Everyone,
Welcome to my Channel
Today's recipe is the very popular Authentic Mangalorean Steamed Rice Cakes ,the Sanna
The Sanna are a great Combo with Pork Bafat or Mutton or Chicken Gravy. These are prepared on festive occasions and I made these on Easter Sunday. So sharing this easy yet amazing recipe with you all.

Can I addInstant active yeast directly while blending? Is the mould available online?

Nowadays you get Rice flour and Urad flower so it's work of soaking and grinding what will be the ratio if we use the ready-made flour

No, I have no idea about such huge modifications of the original recipe, I do exactly the same as my mother would. But you could try and let me know too .

What is the difference between idli and this one just an addition of sugar only..

I dont know what your recipe of idli is 😁we generally add less urad dal in the recipe and use yeast and that is a huge difference ☺😊

@@AnitasCookingChannel We too use yeast as a fermentation agent in the procedure...And the use of less urad dal in a batter gives it soft and puffy idly,whereas the addition of more urad dal makes the dosa batter.

@@Carojoe123 What i meant was for Sanna, idli recipe includes more of Urad dal , while it's low proportion for the Sannas where yeast helps in the fermentation process and while idli batter takes minimum of 8 hrs to ferment , yeast speeds up in about a hour or a little more or less too depending on the temperature of the place you live . Hope this helps. Dosa is a different recipe altogether 😊
