サンシャインビーチparkrun event 62 Sunshine Beach, Otsu-Shi, Shiga, Kyoto, Japan [Run Review]

Sunshine Beach parkrun is the nearest parkrun to Kyoto, Japan. It is a 40 minute journey from central Kyoto via train. Check out my video of event 62 of this cosy and fun little parkrun which took place on 4th March.

Many thanks Prischew for the informative video and location point details; I look forward to running this parkrun soon. As a quick comment, South Africa hosts more parkrunners than most Australian counterparts; some parkruns can host over 1000 people, especially in Johannesburg.

Thanks too for the info on how massive parkrun is in South Africa and Australia - so far I’ve personally yet to experience 1000+ pax parkruns in those continents so I guess that’s where my thoughts came from. Yes you definitely should be able to enjoy it!! Just double confirm on their Facebook page at Sunshine Beach parkrun that they’re running though. As Japan is current having a heatwave and they might possibly cancel due to that.
