I was lucky to have been awarded a special certificate but alas संस्कृत at a later stage was not followed or practiced. As it is said it's never to late. Being a poor reader and not very stable reading books like Atma बौद्ध and तत्त्व बोध not completed. Let us see if I can complete before I retire from this world. All the best for your future. The language also supports all other dharmic systems of Jain, Buddhist and Sikh and their texts and thought process. The classical language of Samskrita is a part of an early Indo-germanic group of languages. Samskrita being the mother of all Indian languages, connects the learner with people of India, their languages and culture. That includes system of medicine (ayurveda), Yoga, music, dance and everything that India has developed over thousands of years. In purely literary terms, Samskrita offers excellent texts consisting of prose, poetry, drama and other literary pursuits. It is important for not only students from other nations, but Indians themselves to look beyond the state or region where they live. It brings a common base instead of thinking in self-limits based on languages such as Bengali or Oriya or Telugu or Kannada or Marathi or Gujarathi, etc., but the see the commonality and vastness this language brings to connect all of them.

Sir, This is excellent initiation by Chinmaya Mission. Way back in 1950s I have heart Swami Chinmayananda teaching Srimad Bhagavadgita to young children, practically chanting aloud with them. Long live Chinmaya Mission. From now, I will look forward to the weekly sessions eagerly. I studied Samskruta in Maharaja's Samskruta College Mysore for 3 years and in school this was my second language. I am sure I will be greatly benefited by these episodes. However, I wish to point out that today's episode had several breaks in the audio, though video was perfect.
