I have an AU9500 that I bought new in mid-70s. It has been used regularly and worked flawlessly for all of these years. Until recently, that is. Glad I found this channel. Anything that makes me smarter will help me diagnose and fix the unit.

Your 9500 is a fine piece of vintage gear. As the years go on there's more of a chance of having issues. I'm glad that the video helped you out. Thanks for watching.

I hope you are showing young relatives or friends who might be interested how to work on such equipment. You would be an excellent teacher to pass on these skills. I really enjoy your videos.

Thank you for watching. The young people are not that interested. I guess I'm not much interested in their stuff either, LOL.

You might very well be the most skilled vintage audio restorer on KZbin. Your work is superb. I know you do this for a hobby, but I do wish I could hire you.

Thank you very much for your kind words. I've checked out your Your KZbin channel and viewed many of your videos, I'm impressed. I have a couple old communication receivers I'd like to get going someday. Thank you again.

Vintage Audio Addict Thank you- another addiction of mine. The SX42 was my father’s, which he bought brand new in 46. I had it professionally restored three years ago, in time for its 70th birthday. Every cap, resistor, and tube in the radio was replaced. It took a year, but it was so worth the wait.

@@ArthurJS123 Wow, how cool! With it totally restored you heard it just like your dad did many years ago.

Sorry I hit the wrong button while texting my last message. I bought it back in the 70's while serving in Japan. It's been in storage for at least 25 years. I Would shure like to get that checked out and back in service.

Thank you for your kind words. An AU-20000 is such a great piece of vintage audio history. It's wonderful that you purchased it new and still have it. I have a Sansui TU-717 tuner that I also purchased new and still have in my collection.
@vintageaudioaddict4 жыл бұрын
That would be great if you could get it going again. I still have some of the equipment I purchased in the 1970's and I still listen to it today. I'm sure that it would be very exciting for you to have the AU-20000 making music again.
