Thank you Gabriel for such a nice video. There is something unique about your recordings, that make me feel I am in those places. Maybe the pace and the clarity of the scenes. I like what you did in the previous video, when you pause the images of certain places, for a better look, nice work. I looks like you don't take chances with the food in the streets; I think is better. Many people in El Salvador don't travel around the country, like myself, I didn't go to Santa Ana, so I am learning now through your videos. Have a nice day.

I recognized the face of Óscar Romero in the picture on the wall of Santa Anna's church right away. He was an emblematic figure in the struggle of El Salvador for democracy in the late seventies. He was the country's archbishop when he was shot dead inside a chappel, in March 1980. A massacre followed at his funeral, where several people were shot. I was only twelve at the time, but those events had made such a strong impression on me that I still remember them clearly. Since his canonization in 2018, he is Saint Óscar Romero. Greetings from Athens.

Oh man, you are staying at the same place I stayed in Santa Ana. I recognized it by the room decoration, especially the sink in the bathroom. Don't read my review of the place on booking 🙂 A lot of things went wrong for me when I arrived at Hostal Sole. Overall I overreacted a bit, but arriving and they tell me that i don't have room reservation after a trip that had me totally wiped out (from San Pedro La Laguna straight to San Salvador). Then there were more issues. Except this all in all I had quite a good stay there. I had a room next to yours and it was really noisy from the street. The central square was sweet. Had a few meals at Simmer Down next to the cathedral among other restaurants. Good view of the square and good food. A little more upscale but still affordable of course. I met gringos at the bus station going to Santa Ana volcano, other than that no one else. Santa was overall a pleasant city. I was a bit reserved my first day cause it was my first day in the country.

Uber/Lyft drivers now have the right to make up an excuse when they see your not going far and fare will be low. It happens all the time everywhere. Your not the only one. Another words if your a Lyft/Uber driver your not going to waste your time for a 5$-$10 fare when you can get a better fare by dumping your schedule ride. They should be penalty but I guess this is normal thus you could have taken a bus after waiting 30 minutes to and hour to go 10 minutes up the road. 😎👍
