Some of the best model railroad video binge watching YT has to offer. Beautiful layout and always the best trains running. I don't know if it's a camera artifact or the lighting or a combination of the two, but the water seems to actually move. And the fans moving the trees brings a realism that most all modelers overlook. What a great idea. The bridges...good lord I could go on and on. Amazing layout.

Thanks Bill, good to see the War Bonnet carrying on. It seems I do not know the layout as well as I thought I did as I had no idea there was a diverging route after this bridge. It was only when you shifted the view that I said to myself 'what the .... huh??! Where the hell did that come from?' These alternative views you used here have given a new look to well travelled territory. Again, many thanks for keeping it fresh.

Bill, as always, great video! BTW your video: "Cab Forwards in Cascades", started me back into the hobby. New nothing about DCC, (still don't know much), however couldn't figure how you were consisting! now. a few years later, I realize. Am retired and you got my interest peaked. Will you be doing anymore with your layout? Thanks again for getting a retired guy off the "couch!!

In the first scene, two silver colored engines did not have crew cabs. What type of equipment is that? I'd be grateful for a reply. Thanks

The ATSF lash-up appears to be as follows: GP60M, GP60B, GP60B, GP60M. Although I could well be wrong. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EMD_GP60

Depending you where you live they are called either slugs, slaves or B units. They are just used as extra power for trains, they are built to the same motor standards as a Cab unit but the railroad saved some money by not buying a cab and controls. If that makes sense
@billr991
@billr991 5 жыл бұрын
@@kyleharmer8047 Thanks Kyle. Thanks for the reply, and yes, it does make sense. I thought that might be the case, but I had gotten the impression (perhaps erroneously) that B units or slugs had gone out of style before these locomotives were built.
@cstraws
@cstraws 5 жыл бұрын
I believe these are GP-60 B units. BNSF still has some in use on the west coast. I've never seen one in person though. Great video!
