I hope our history in the west and around the country is always told in song. You have always been one of my favorite songwriters and storytellers. Thank you for reminding us about the Santa Fe Trail.

Love it! I’ve been reading of the Santa Fe Trail for years, and happened to be wearing the Trail t-shirt today that I purchased a couple or three years ago at Bent’s Fort, when I chased you to La Junta for the 200th Trail Anniversary.

The trail started in Lexington Mo where the "Madonna of the Trail" stands, Indep. had no access to the Missouri river where Lexington did. Independence was the first "shake down" leg of the trail!!!
