The perfect message: gratitude. (Rule #1 posted on our refrigerator while our two sons were growing up was: gratitude.) I loved your explanation of Santa Lucia and her connection with Sweden.

Such a lovely celebration…albiet a dangerous presentation… lol In seriousness, it’s beautiful to celebrate bravery, love and giving… and my wish is that we’d do more of that, especially today in this confusion. Thank you so much for sharing the stories of this Saint, as well as your story ( so cute) bless your heart. She most assuredly, was with you. Your voice is lovely. I love your videos!!✌️🙂🎄❤️

I am loving your holiday content! This was so informative coming from an American who celebrates this tradition. This history and how you celebrated as a child was so fascinating. Thank you so much for sharing! ❤

This was really interesting. I only knew a little of the history of Santa Lucia. You are a wonderful story teller and I loved the more modern anecdotes thrown in there. Made me laugh! Thank you for sharing.

I love these types of stories and traditions that come because of them. It's beautiful that you were able to get the recipes pass down from your family. My mother also had traditions she wanted to keep alive. Unfortunately, my family has broken apart and the traditions have slowly vanished. But I plan to continue her traditions with my children and future grandchildren. Thank you for this. It's so wonderful to see how others continue to keep the spirit alive of the past. This was lovely.💛

Thank you for sharing your traditions- it was nice hearing what other cultures honor. I like to make a rolled yeast cookie filled with ground nuts, cloves, cinnamon and lemon. It was my great grandmother's recipe. It always makes me think of Christmas, family and sharing.

I’ve never heard of Santa Lucia. Thank you for sharing Anna. And the story you shared about the candle wax drippings is hysterical…now at least. But I’m sure when it was actually happening was horrifying for you. You were a trooper for preserving through it!! Tough girlie:):)❤

I'm not Swedish but I always light a candle on this day and go outside and say a little prayer. So when I started watching this video, at just minutes before midnight, I realized I had completely forgotten it was today so quickly lit a candle and hurried outside lol. Thank you for the reminder and a more indepth story about Santa Lucia. You sing beautifully!!🕯

You are a beautiful storyteller . I remember that song when I was little. I never realized she was celebrated outside of Italy. Hope your Pepper Koker. I just bought some ginger cookies today. I love them and love when I find them at this time of year. Lighting candles and slowing down is something I do palmist everyday. It soothes my soul.

Did you know that St Anna is in older eastern Christian tradition seen as the mother of Mary, and often depicted holding Mary is a baby ?

´What´s the difference between religion and superstition ?' Gnobbler asked the owl, as they sat staring at the cottage once again. ' Well that's an unexpected question coming from a little one like you.' the owl replied. She started staring at the stars. ' They seem so similar, don't they ? All about never do this, do that, thou shall not pass this black cat, 13 must be an unlucky number .. imagine being thirteen then. I'd say religion is about our ancestors passing on their wisdom to live by and stories for us not to make the same mistakes. About building us a better future. Superstition is just imagination at play wanting to have control over life. Good for comedy. ' 'So what are you looking up there for anyway ?' Gnobbler asked. ' I'm looking for Lucy. ' the owl replied. : )
