I’ve checked out a few of the actual bands live performances just to see the awesome drum groove being played out live. Imagine my dismay when (at least in the performances I watched) the drummer plays a simplified version over the “sweetener” drum track. You have restored my faith that the drums can sound just as awesome “live”. Thank you 🙏

sorry, I don't do tabs. personally, I started by grooving just with the bass/snare drum. ignore everything else, just work on that with quarter notes on the hi hat. then i worked into 8th on the hi-hat and then worked on lining up the hi hat pattern with the bass/snare drum very slowly, then speeding up as I went along. The drums are really clear in the mix so you should be able to work it out.

Yep, it's pretty repetitive. Other than the bridge and the outro it never changes much. Just listen carefully, break it down, and take it slow. Once you get it it's a really fun groove. It's not very complicated, but it is intricate.

Great cover. The bands drummer just uses a trigger pad to do the 16th notes on the high-hat. You could totally replace him!

It didn't take very long to learn. I had to get the rhythm of the bass/snare drum down first, the I worked the hi hat pattern into it.lining the hi-hats up with the bass drum pattern is the hardest part.

There are some covers where it is too echoey and makes the microphone buzz and stuff, and I thought this started like that, but as you started playing, it sounded amazing. Not only the sound of the drums, you are a great drummer, keep it up!
