Given how talented SRR was (10.97/22.09/48.70 NR & most sub 50s runs (48) ever), she must be disappointed with having only won 1 individual Olympic & WC Gold Medal each in her career!

@@carterwilson4605 Someone as insanely competitive & talented as SRR will be bitterly disappointed she wasn't a multiple individual gold medallist in the 400m and a medallist in at least one global 200m Final (possibly dipping under 22s)! And to a lesser extent, I bet there's a part of her that wishes she was one of only 3 women to have run sub 48.5 since Perec's 48.25 in '96!

Just thinking that she has just 1 world gold and 1 Olympic gold (individual not relay) is unbelievable given how good she was. It always seemed like when it came to major finals she just chocked. She did have an amazingly great career though it could have been even better.

A sensational run will be next year in Budapest where, I believe, Sydney will target and break that long-standing doped women's 400m WR.
@AllInTheGame012 жыл бұрын
Slow your roll bud, how about she beats Sanya's 48.70 NR first and then Perec's 'unofficial 48.25 WR' before we entertain her running a ridiculous 47.59?!
@Meechooilka2 жыл бұрын
@@AllInTheGame01 Oh, she will most certainly wipe that NR with no issues. We already have had non-US women in the last 3 years running below 48.5. Sydney is going to do it no problem at all. She ran a 47.91 split in Oregon.
@AllInTheGame012 жыл бұрын
@@Meechooilka Literally only 2 women have run sub 48.5 in the 26yrs since Perec's 48.25 in '96 in Shaunae Miller-Uibo & Salwa EId Naser (who got banned for 2yrs for missing tests). Running fast splits doesn't automatically equate fast times from blocks e.g. Allyson Felix ran the 3rd fastest split ever (47.72) @2015 WC but 'only' ran a 49.26 PB to win the individual 400m Gold at those same champs!
@Meechooilka2 жыл бұрын
@@AllInTheGame01 sure sure, but nobody is as dominant in their event as Sydney is in hers. And she hasn't even focused yet on the 400 flat. Obviously, women's 400 and 400H are in their prime right now. Sydney will def break that WR, I have no doubts.
@AllInTheGame012 жыл бұрын
@@onigbajamo 'Sub 48.50', and unfortunately for her, she's banned from competing in the 400m for the foreseeable future, can only compete in the short sprints!
