Nilam Kyanite is the Nilam gemstone, meaning blue stone found rarely in the roof top mountains of Nepal. The word Nilam was the name given by indigenous people of Nepal for any beautiful blue stone whether it be Kyanite sourced fom the high peak Daha mountain mine over generations (now incredibly rare) or Kashmire sapphire (no longer found) Kashmir sapphire was the most highly prized sapphire and now untreated Nilam Kyanite from the Daha mine is it's successor. You would be extremely lucky to obtain one. Gemologists cannt tell them apart when handling and looking . Hence this video.

Typical native cut (lousy) stones, but I have seen worse. A description of what to look for with the inclusions would be helpful. For example, does one type have feathers, but not the other? A similar comparison for bubbles, stony inclusions etc.

How about the flawless type?

Thanks for the question. In the video you can see only stones with inclusions. In my experience, it's very difficult to find kyanite with any inclusions, but, in this case, a refractive index test it's the best way.

As an amateur, I sure would like to know what you are trying to get across to us! Yes, I can see the inclusions but I’m sure you have names for them. I’d like to know what they are and the significance between the two stones. Also, what if the stones are IF or VVS? What then? I liked the music but would have enjoyed you describing what we were looking at! Thank you

hugely irritatingr. why are people compelled to move shit around spastically rather than hold still, in focus and let me actully look at the damned stone?

@@francescoprotopapas5482 You're not alone. However, be of good cheer, good man. You have singly conquered the market on ironically self-deprecating counter slaps. How are you to know that I spent an ungodly amount of fiat for a display worthy of your video title? By the same token, (see what I did there?) only the channel "Gemstones" avoids the wiggly blingbling style of displaying truly kick-ass stones. Seriously, a little honest and constructive criticism is a good thing when taken in the right spirit. I suppose it all depends on your target demographic. I truly wanted to enjoy this somewhat unique presentation. Good day sir.
