I grew up admiring Frank Frazetta's artwork. He inspired me to be an artist. He was by far my favorite figure artist as well as a fantasy artist. I collected all of his books and calendars back in the 70's. I wish that Sara and family would make available those paperback books in hardback editions. Rest in Peace Frank and condolences to the Frazetta family.

"Egyptian Queen" went for 5.4 million dollars, in 2019, if I remember correctly. That is a record for comic book original art, if I understand correctly.

Thanks for making this happen! I was so tied up with running the floor that I didn't have enough time to sit in on this panel.

With 70 acres of land, why would anyone want to go to SDCC? Frazetta's a true legend in every way. Thanks for posting

The greatest fantasy artist there ever will be. His artwork has great drama, power, beauty, and talent. A true maverick and original.

The art still belongs to all of us , the rich people will just keep it at their house and pay for restorations .. thank god. Sarah said the girl on the horse running on the beach “ her butt is cracking off the canvas.

Boris just paints bodybuilders with fantasy motifs around them. Lovely but somehow not as painterly or genuine

Does anybody in his family do their on thing? It’s sad a great artist like this produced a family of sheep.

His son tried to break into a museum and steal his own father’s paintings 🙄

Frank Jr. wanted to keep the art together. The other three were greedy and wanted to sell it all. Two friends of Frank Jr. helped also with the backhoe break in. They only wanted to saved the art from private collections. Bill tried to steal Frank's money out of the bank. The bank said no. All four live in killer homes that were built with Frazetta art money. They did not respect their parents museum dream. Art was missing out of the house before Frank Sr. died. Frazetta set up Bill with the costume shop. Frazetta set up Frank Jr. with a pro golf shop. They all worked and made a living. All four of these Yankee dumb asses were in the wrong. The lawyers made a killing. All four phucked up !

Its sad realising that a whole troop of children and grandchildren do nothing with their lives except exploiting Frank's art and legacy. He made his own luck with his hands and mind, they should try the same.

Why would you be upset over Frazetta's family sharing his legacy? You must be one of the social justice snowflakes mentioned in the film
@neliiinhu6 жыл бұрын
yes. a whole family has the chance to have a better life because of his work, while having time to develop their own arts (painting and writing are referenced in the video). its very sad, for you. pathetic judgmental comment joe, you sounded like a frustrated jealous teen.

His son actually did duplicates of his work shown in the museum and Frank would supervise. He learned a lot from Frank but regardless they seem like a really tight nit family and are supporting his legacy instead of going after their own which we should be thankful for considering how relevant and timeless his work has become. She said herself she wouldn't sell his painting and attempt at manual labor to support her needs rather than selling it out so abruptly.

No, that's a moron-thought. Frank was one-in-a-million, and it's hard enough for kids to grow up in that kind of shadow w/out some idiot like you coming along. Frank did what he did exactly FOR his kids. He wanted them to live well from his work, and it's their job to make sure his legacy is curated.

Now a days when a family owned Frazetta painting is sold, greedy lawyers get paid first. Frank and Ellie wanted that art to stay together. They trusted they children to be civil. A bunch of spoiled dumb ass Yankees with no honor.
