fantasy series being marketed as romantasy just bc there is a romance, and then getting shit on for not having enough romance, is my biggest pet peeve in the book community. i've never seen anyone market ember as romantasy but i know the cruel prince has received this treatment lol

THIS. I read cruel prince recently just because in the last like almost 10 years or so I’ve heard people who like SJM books rave about Holly Black’s books. And I always hear this categorized as romantasy…it was not lol didn’t effect my opinions of the series but I was definitely shocked

I love cruel prince but it barely had any romance compared to ACTUAL romance books (I loved the romance in cruel prince but yk). It doesn’t deserve to be marketed as a romance book bc the fantasy is the main part (which is amazing)

The whole Ember in the Ashes series is SO GOOD ANDDDD there is a romance that builds throughout the books. Actually there’s more than one romance! Ones more to the side. Please continue it. In book 2, I think you start to get Helene’s pov and the books get more interesting as more happens but book three is just so good.

for firefly lane, i watched the series first then read the books and still sobbed in both. there are enough differences that if youve consumed one the other will still catch you off gaurd, and i just view them as being pretty seperate. having seen the show didn't much affect me when i read the book other than how i pictured the characters. but its very good in my opinion, amazing actresses. also the sequel book fly away is a little.... weird at times in ways i cant say? but sooo good and sad as well. definitely not the same kind of vibe though in my opinion so you might not like it as much. but if you wanna go back to those characters without watching the show yet its a good choice.

if you want your stickers to stay intact in the back of ur kindle you can use washi tape to stick them in the back. i've done it with mine, and they stay perfectly

@@l0v33rxa lot of people like to leave the backing of the sticker on it (instead of actually sticking the sticker to the kindle) in order to be able to reuse the stickers, more easily replace/remove/reposition them, etc. - if you also use a bit of wash tape to stick the sticker to your kindle, then it won’t slide around in the case :)

@@l0v33rx Sorry if you don’t understand, my first language is not english and idk if I’m explaining myself correctly. -what I mean is that you can double tape it with washi tape to the back of your kindle, so the stickers don’t move around, but you can take them off easily and reuse them without damaging anything - I hope it makes more sense now🤞🏻

I beg you do NOT watch the show on Firefly Lane. I’m glad I read book before I watched the show because it does not do the book justice. So many huge things were changed and I just did not like the show at all but gave the book 5 stars. Watching you read the book made me tear up because I remember my own thoughts and feelings when I was reading it and it changed my life.

Absolutely loved Firefly Lane!! I read it once years ago when I was about 20 years old when it first came out and I am currently reading it again now with my own kids at almost 40 years old myself. The TV series on Netflix is also good. I wasn't sure how I felt about the series at first but ended up loving it and watching them go through all the phases of growing together. I loved in the series re-visiting all the different time periods, and the music, but the ending of the series is also hard to watch. Definitely one that has always stuck with me.

Kristin Hannah has SO many amazing books! She’s definitely my favorite author!! If you haven’t read the Nightingale, the Great Alone, or Four winds you definitely should! Those are more of her historical fiction books all written from a woman’s perspective which I just love!!
