Great video, The rising cost of living is a pressing concern for many, impacting financial planning and investment strategies. Factors triggering this increase, such as inflation and changing economic conditions, require careful consideration
@Larry1-pl2wq8 ай бұрын
With all these economic heart attacks, selfcare is really hard. inflation can erode purchasing power over time, affecting the affordability of goods and services. It's crucial to adjust financial plans accordingly to mitigate its impact.

I've noticed my expenses creeping up steadily due to factors like rising housing costs and healthcare expenses. It's becoming challenging to maintain a comfortable standard of living while trying to save for the future.
@V.stones8 ай бұрын
Back in the day, managing expenses seemed simpler, but with the evolving economy, it's essential to stay proactive. Those who adapt their financial strategies tend to fare better in navigating the increasing cost of living.

I wanted to share my notes on forest bathing. I took a course during a yoga festival in the Rockies and it was really good for grounding and connecting to the energy of Mother Earth. If you take time to touch a tree and be silent, you will feel or hear the humming (and no I ain’t on medication or am some woohoo tree hugger). There is a full documentary on the benefits and research of grounding yourself and using trees to help with this. Every time I go for a walk on the trails, I stop to connect with the trees and my energy is much different when I am done walking and grounding is much more powerful. Mother Earth and nature is a very powerful tool to help us heal and create vitality in our lives…which is why we should take better care of our planet.

I love the concept of grounding. I absolutely get that and as soon as the snow melts, I will try to get outside barefoot every day for at least a few minutes. I understand the science that everything is in motion and there's an energy there.

I’ve never heard the term forest bathing, but I do love to spend quiet time in the woods. I will walk deep in and stand very still for a long time and just listen to the silence. I also love to lay on a lounge chair outside under the trees and let my body fall into a great relaxation state. Happy Easter everyone!

Queen of journaling here. Lol. It’s my lifeline to my own sanity. Although I do like the idea of holing up in a cabin and reading (or just piddling lol) for a whole week. And lol. Journaling might be my way of trying to achieve the whole “do nothing and think about nothing.” Lol. Usually vegging out on true crime or a few movies also works for at least “distracting” my brain away from all the things it constantly spins around about. People knock it but to me it gets me well on my way to “dropping all my worries and stress” (much like the men who watch sports and they’re totally “somewhere else” lol). My brain needs “time off” Bcuz it works too hard already all the rest of the time. (For all of us overthinking, obsessive, perfectionistic, analytical, driven and prone to worrying kind of folks lol). There’s physically tired and then there’s mentally tired.

I go to library sales, little free libraries, and thrift stores for books. There are so many current bestsellers or recent releases found in thrift stores. Some thrift stores will have sales of buy four books, get a fifth book free. I have found book stores at local colleges and universities to be great places to look for books as well. Most libraries do book sales twice a year and they will advertise them. I went to three thrift stores and a library book sale recently and only paid $27 and change for 62 books.

Be careful with infusers around cats. It's not good for them. My tip: Android phones have a "sleep time" function. Use it! It makes the screen grayscale, aka black & white. It's great. The name of the Microsoft guy is Bill Gates.
