I see no remorse for the life that was lost here same as when Darrel represented himself he said NOTHING about the victims. These people live amongst us in society and it’s scary. Yes they two committed their crimes publicly so luckily they were arrested and Darrel was brought to justice but it scares me to think there’s more out there who just haven’t been caught up with the law YET.. who’s gonna be the next victim of this type of behavior? The court room may be entertaining for us as spectators but I can’t help but feel bad for the poor souls who get caught up in these people’s paths.

Y'all know that she pushed him down the stairs in the suitcase, right? That's why it was upside down, and why he was so bruised. She told the detectives that they were cleaning out the closet, sorting clothes for Goodwill, which she would put in the suitcase to transport. Where was the closet? In the upstairs bedroom. Despite her lie, the suitcase was originally upstairs, too.

AND "rolled" him down the stairs WHILE he was in the suitcase. That's why he had bruising/ marks on his body. The video shows the suitcase is upside down.

I do not believe a word she says. She did not do CPR prior to the 911 call. She DID wake up that morning and found him. He did not get in that suitcase willingly...and on, and on, and on. She is a terrible person, and she will hurt others if she gets out. And I know the word "narcissist" gets thrown around a lot these days. It should be reserved for this exact type of person.

I imagine she tricked him with a "I bet you can't fit in this suitcase" ploy and once inside, she sealed him in, rolled him down the stairs, berated him as he died, and went back upstairs to sleep it off. When she found him the next morning, she concocted the (ridiculous) "hide & seek" story to shift the blame onto him, not remembering that she recorded the whole thing while still plastered.

We all know the problem is that the attorneys are telling her “No one believes you are innocent because you recorded yourself berating him while he was actively suffocating.” The only chance she has to avoid that is to find (and pay for) a lawyer who is slick enough to get the video repressed. She is said to have rejected the “battered spouse” defense. She’s her own worst enemy.

When they told her there was a dead victim, and she wasn't going home, she told the detectives that they "tricked" her. They both have an impressive history of arrests and 911 calls for domestic abuse. He gets arrested, she bails him out, she gets arrested . He gets arrested etc. I was thinking her defence might be dom violence and alcoholism but with the history of them both being abusive who knows. Will be interesting to see if she comes up with anything other than "it wasn’t intentional’ and repeats it ad nauseum till the jury is in a coma, the judge is down to his last Xanax and everyone else has left the court room.

If I’m not mistaken, once you choose to represent yourself, you are barred from claiming ineffective counsel. That’s one of the things you give up when you give up the right to an attorney.
