I got this on a whim and the concealer has been an unexpected blessing I can’t stop using it just enough coverage, color is good, easy to apply, stays all day, somewhat blurring and non fussy. I hate the price but I have tried tons and non have been this easy and just good at doing the job for my 36yr old dry skin.

My 49yr old under eyes love this concealer. It’s beautiful. Great coverage, lovely finish. Minor creasing few minutes after application, then once that is tapped out….doesn’t crease remainder of day. A little goes a long way. 2 small dots is all I use. Also, layers on top of itself well if you do need to retouch later in the day.

Also, FYI in case you find your lips being sensitive (as mine are incredibly) the Rhode lip balms also contain lactic acid in their ingredients

They seem to think we need a exfoliating lip balm their is actually a lot of balms all the sudden with lactic acid in it . I think lactic acid is also commonly used as a formula pH adjuster. I’ve read it can be hydrating at low percentages - it does more than one thing. I am very wary of exfoliating acids - I would be curious what a cosmetic chemist says about it.

I was worried about the Eadem balms for the lactic acid too. I’ve seen Dr. Idris talk about how glycolic acid is a great gentle exfoliator/hydrator for lips, so I’m wondering if the lactic acid serves a similar purpose?

I saw the lipstick, and it's cute (visually, the names feel like they're trying too hard), but it costs more than a Gucci lipstick―when it's in plastic packaging! Custom plastic packaging, but Gucci's is custom, engraved, metal. I feel like the price point doesn't make sense for the facts of the brand aesthetic and the seeming lack of general/ public awareness of who she is, and, evidently, the actual product quality.

Thank you for this review. Sali Hughes, a British beauty journalist, reviewed a couple of pieces from the brand recently and mentioned that she felt (having toured a lot of factories) that money went into the design of the mascara brush, which could explain the price. It's worth noting that the brand is entirely self-funded which must be a factor in the small range of colours available for the concealer. Also I read that the amount of lactic acid in the lip balm is tiny and is there to aid absorption of the actives. I'm in the UK so can't purchase yet, but I will support the brand when it hopefully launches here...because I'm 55 and frankly f**ked off with beauty being marketed to much younger people. Your skin looks particularly beautiful in this video so I'm taking that as a good sign that the concealer has a lovely finish!

I tried the lip balm and immediately went back to get 2 more to put around the house. It’s honestly the best lip balm I’ve used. I absolutely love it. I like other glosses, I like oil sticks, I love the Candy Glaze. (But for me the use case is different from Candy Glaze.) I think the packaging is actually very nice. It’s magnetic unlike most lip balms. I also tried the matte lipstick primer and it worked for me better than any lip primer I’ve used. It actually made my patchiest lipstick (LE Velvet Cinnabar) not look patchy on me. I got the Madam President lipstick. It’s fine/good. I mean there are lots of equivalent lipsticks. For $50 I like the Prada lipstick much more. I don’t think the packaging is pretty on this Sarah Creal. I think it’s kind of ugly, actually. But I’ll be honest, I bought it to try because I liked the lipstick names. 😂 I just had to have Madam President as I’m out canvassing. 😂 I didn’t try the concealer because there wasn’t a shade for me. Also, although I’m 56, I’m still oily so super moisturizing base products for “aging skin” don’t usually work for me anyway.

Below a certain percentage lactic acid is really just a humectant, it plumps the skin, not enough to make it fuller really, but just to fill in fine lines. In a low % it doesn't exfoliate or make the skin more vulnerable to UV.

What the Sarah Creal (who?) line is lacking -- *especially* for a "luxury brand" -- is cohesiveness. The packaging isn't consistent between products: the mascara component is a rounded silver tube, the lip repair stick is a golden cylinder (no curves top or bottom), and the Skin Flex is glass and a triple rounded pseudo-Art Deco golden top. But wait -- there's more. The top of her lipstick is the same shape as the Skin Flex, but it's pale mint green(!) with gold on the bottom. (She also has 2 skin care products that have green in their packaging: an eye cream with a bright green top and white bottom, and an essence, which is a generic bottle in light seafoam.) There's also a lip primer in an orchid purple tube, and the sunscreen in a cheap-looking bright orange round. This is *not* a luxury line, prices notwithstanding. It looks like it was curated by a five-year-old. Sarah favours gold metallic, but has an important basic product all in silver. She can't decide between glass and plastic. And the colours! Three different shades of green, plus pinky-purple, orange, stark white... Can you imagine Chanel or Dior having such a marketing strategy? Of course not. I wouldn't support this company, and hope it fades away soon.

I tried her lipstick. I REALLY like it. It's super moisturizing and comfortable. Feels almost like Effortless Lips on, it's got that nice balmy feeling slip to it. And the pigmentation is off the charts! It wears well. I wish the packaging felt more luxe, but I know that when it feels really heavy, that's because they put cement in the packaging to make it heavier. I just wish the tube felt as substantial as the price tag.

I love this line. I have two shades in the concealer/foundation. I love it for covering my hyperpigmentation. I love the packaging. The size doesn't bother me because I use a lot less product than I do with other foundations. It's also convenient. The lip balm is . . .THA BOMB! I love it and I love the feel of the component in my hand. Oddly, I feel like it makes my lips look fuller, which I don't believe was a marketing claim. I LOVE your reviews. However, this review felt like a concerted effort to go against the grain (as in don't believe the hype). I still, very much, trust your opinion. However, having tried this line and having used it for well over a month, I have a completely different perspective, which is fine. I am unfortunately well into the Sarah Creal demographic and this is the best concealer I have ever used (and I have tried them all). It is the first concealer that made my deep and very dark circles plus under-eye wrinkles look almost acceptable. I think I would be willing to pay even more for the concealer (don’t tell Sarah lol). Not impressed at all by the lipstick though.

This seems to be the consensus! I'm so glad for the feedback.

I returned that concealer. It was horrible. The color was terrible. It accentuated every line, wrinkle and actually made my undereye look more puffy. Too expensive and way better ones out there.

The "collection" or at least these 3 products do not even present as a cohesive group (from a design perspective).

It must have such a small amount of lactic acid to be advertised as a lip balm for any time of day with less exfoliating power abd more of the hydrating properties of the lactic acid ?? Idk im sensitive and im alittle scared to try it for 42$ and not love it and it burn my lips off 😂 but i noticed their are actually alot of balms with lactic acid in them now . I think thr Eadam balms even have it and alot of the newer ones on the Sephora new release section.

I guess I've just never seen one call it out as a feature

There’s lactic acid in the eadem lip balm though?

am I watching this even though I'm 28 & still get mistaken for being literally 19? yes, aging skin is definitely not me but I'm going to watch anyway. I definitely wouldn't get anything for my mum because she wears makeup like twice a year (she enjoys makeup but like nursing & actually wearing it are 2 different things)

Ma'am. Please could you hold up the products you are using in the montages, I love the little speed through montage things but I'm always guessing which product you are using 😂

Oh I see you doing now, I think it was just the first two.

The concealer sounds like a more expensive version of Maxine’s revenge.

That was exactly my thought.

They just offered to send me theirs. I'm gonna go for it.

@@kackie The packaging is nothing to write about but I really like the concealer. I'm almost 62 and I don't find it creases on me nor does it make my understand look like prunes.
