A moisturizer tip… put a Japanese moisturizing toner in a continuous-mist spray bottle and use it all over your body and face when you get done with your shower. I just buy whichever is cheapest on Amazon. Several of them come in jumbo refill sizes. Right now I’m using Hado Labo. I have the driest skin ever and this is a game changer. Now I only need moisturizer on the very coldest days. It’s also so quick and easy that I never skip it. The continuous mist bottle is also great to apply an exfoliating toner all over the body to get rid of KP.

"It's time for some beauty trash; and i dont just mean me" i always get a kick out of all the little jokes you throw in 😂❤ I definitely got cystic acne in basically a cluster on one side of my neck and then a spot on my cheek that has lasted for MONTHS. The tiny bumps have taken a while to comr to the surface, but when they do theyre massive and literally take weeks and weeks to go down. Counting down the days until its completely gone becaus ei havent gotten any new bumps. Still not sure what caused it but im guessing its a combination of things. I had zero acne before starting a skincare and different haircare routine last year, so clearly i did something. My theory is the sunscreen i was using during the hot humid summer days (along with too heavy of moisturizers and layers of hydrating products for the season i was in) because my skin just felt HOT when i was sweating, kind of like the heat wasnt able to escape. In combination with possibly disrupting my moisture barrier. Shortly after those hot weeks was when i developed the little bumps that turned into the cystic acne. After that i went lighter with the products, and the weather also obviosuly changed. I also removed a couple newer products i was using at the time just to be safe. Also added the first aid beauty ultra repair cream based off your rec which ive been loving 😊 down to 3 cystic bumps which are taking ages to go away, but thats better than the 20-25ish total that i had! It was not a fun experience to say the least, since i havent sufferent from acne since i was in high school.

Omgggg…Furtuna!!! I have not ever heard anyone talk about this brand on social media. I love it. I specifically love their biphase moisturizing oil. I finish up my skincare routine at night with this and… I’ve repurchased it 3-4x now. It’s pricey but it lasts for such a long time. My skin loves it.

hey kackie, i hate moisturizing too so here’s a hack i’ve been using. I take a nice hot bath and add five pumps of the Osea body oil, recommended by you. it gives you this fine, even layer over your whole body- saves me a ton of product and i get a much better application. yes, you’ve gotta clean the shower a little more but i keep a dish wand with vinegar and dish soap and quick scrub on my way out. even scrubbing the tub, takes me half the time of just applying the oil.
@laurenschaeppi20018 сағат бұрын
This is exactly what I do with the Osea oil as well. Afterwards I add a tiny bit of the Body Butter to my knees, elbows and ankles to lock in the moisture.

Using it as a bath oil sounds divine! I transferred mine to a spray bottle because I was always terrified of dropping the bottle in the shower, and just spray it on while my skin is still damp. I love that so many of us have decided that we love the product, and then just figured out an application method that works best for us.

Love these kinds of posts. I watched Diary of a CEO he had on the No.1 Toxicologist... omg I wanted to throw out everything. Did you watch it? there were so many surprises. A lot about the beauty industry. I read labels before I started following you during clean 19, I think a lot of us were doing that at that time. I'd LOVE if you did an episode on your reaction to that episode of D of a CEO with Yvonne Burkart

I love the Kayali burning cherry scent! I bought the mini (long version too here in Canada) and plan to buy the full size if Sephora does their usual 20% off fragrance sale before Yule. It's the perfect winter scent for a Rocky Mountain chalet, which is where I live (ok, not quite a chalet, but we are in deep forest with a big river rock fireplace, the perfect witchy house for me). And since it's a veritable winter wonderland for at least 6 months of the year, I'm sure I'll get a lot of use from Burning Cherry.

Hypochlorous acid superfan and PD sufferer here! You asked what HA is actually for, and it’s kind of interesting… If you have horses, farm animals or pets in the house, HA is the active ingredient in the first aid ointment you have sitting around for them. It’s used like Neosporin for animals, but without antibiotics. It disinfects wounds and acts as an anti-microbial *without harming damaged tissue* the way many disinfectants do, so you can see the throughline for folks managing bacteria on damaged skin barriers. HA has helped me tremendously with my PD, not to rid me of it but to manage flares the moment they start. I always follow it with a pre/probiotic water or serum afterward to help re-populate my skin with the good stuff. But, PD is so unique to everyone and what works for one person may absolutely not work for the next. (I also use Tower28’s, never tried Prequel’s.)

In lieu of the Prequel barrier cream I have been using the La Roche-Posay Lipikar Eczema Soothing Relief Cream with the colloidal oatmeal like the prequel has. It isn’t quite as thick but it works in a pinch until the other comes back in stock if you are still looking for a temp fill-in.

I’m not sure if you know this, but spironolactone is EXTREMELY drying. It’s part of why it works well for cycstic acne. I used it for a little while for hair loss and I remember being horribly dry.

I bought the Wonder Valley cleanser when you posted about it originally because of the packaging 😅 I finally just finished it but I was using it off and on because I didn't love it. I am on my second Allies of Skin eye cream, which I got 20 percent off from SpaceNK. I am not sure it does more than my Beauty of Joseon one (cheap) or the pink Caudalie one. But that lifting serum? Even with huge discounts, it’s hugely expensive! Dry older but great skin here, not rich. Could it really be worth it? (Do so far like the Medik8 peptides serum, and the Haruharu milky essence.)

Fyi: if you use sunscreen, especially those you showed, they need double cleansing to be removed because they are sweat resist.I have seen a post from k-beaty tuber, who tested those sunscreens with single wash and uv light ( she was uber sentitive) and contacted the companies for advice on removing their products, they all said double concleanse becuase of the sunscreen duration. They' was one time, can't recall name, which could be removed with ease...

Check out the brand Seen (available directly from them) for hair products created by a dermatologist. All kinds of products, scented and unscented, different products for curly hair and for those who blow-dry. I am SO allergic, have not been able to use anything with fragrance for many years, but these products not only do not bother me at all but also leave my very dry hair looking wonderful.
